I had a discussion with a older family member on my wife's side he mentioned that the usa or any other country should not expect the human rights issues in china to get better anytime soon as china is a such young country and these things take time when I mentioned the 5000 year history he replied that was the old china the new china is only 60 years old

I had the great idea of starting ling at the local miniature golf gorse go carts she got in put the pedal to the metal and did not let off until she either spun out or hit something

ling has done pretty well (knock on wood) she did miss a driveway and high sided her little car on the curb of course nobody told me about until her friends husband called to tell me to check for damage when I asked ling if there was something she wanted to tell me she said I think someone already tell when I try to correct her she says why only drive bad you in car

following tines advice worked for us they are here now it was pretty simple one thing they were asked to show is pictures of ling (their daughter) when she was a young girl baba said they were poor and had no camera

no isolation of kin here either they have been here for 2 months now and will be driving me to the nuthouse for 2 more

well did she like it ? I made some a while ago tasted a little funny checked the date it was 7 years old so I trashed it

when ling came here we were introduced to several Chinese people through friends and we also met many from a Chinese church ling once told me she had many Chinese friends and just wanted to meet some American people as for church she only wants to show up after the services for the free chinese food we know many Chinese American couples neither ling nor I can think of anybody who isolates their spouse it seems to be just the opposite with our friends and acquaintances

I picked up a little but ling does not teach me to pronounce words perfectly only good enough for her to understand then I try it on some of her friends and they laugh

sorry to hear this don't give up lings parents just passed they are about the same as your in laws as far as " parents are in their 70's have bank funds , own a house and have 3 children living in China" their VO was a older man he asked about my last name ma ma said I don't know we just call him michael the VO laughed he also asked for pictures of my wife when she was a small girl ba ba said that they were poor then and could not afford a camera back then we hope it works out for them

Lings parents are at the consulate they have a 9:30 appointment it is now 10:50 and they are still in the line to get into the building is this normal ? why did I have to pay $ 7.40 for the phone call to make the appointment if it is first come first serve ?

how did she catch it any pictures ? we are trying to bring lings parents here for a visit the first thing her father wanted to know is do we have any birds and can he catch them in the backyard
