If you really said this then yes, you need someone at HR to encourage your sensitivity skills. Generalizing, especially to such a negative is neither productive nor very smart. An apology to the women who heard that is appropriate. Ah, a graduate, I see ! It's to bad we don't live in a country that guarantees the freedom of speech to it's citizens. One where you can express your views without fear of reprisal from those who hold differing points of view. I remember a country that used to exist where people weren't forced to appologize for expressing their beliefs or opinions. And I'm sure all the women and minorities who were subjected to lewd or insulting comments remember that country as well.

I prefer the term "provincial" Exactly the word that's come to mind reading a few posts here. Unfortunately, it fits some, only some, to a tee. And I find that incredibly ironic given the reason we're all here.

Dave, The "nicer" apartment where Dan and Yu visited us was sub-contracted to Mr. Yang by another apartment owner in the building because Mr. Yang was full that night. The other nights we moved in to one of Mr. Yang's 3 bedroom apts. At Mr. Yang's I think the only difference in price is set by the number of bedrooms not the quality, but I'm not sure about this. Thanks Hank, That's good info. I had heard nothing but good things about Mr. Yang's place so the comment about the inferior room surprised me. Your explanation clears that up.

Hankster, For those of us who's SOs may require one of the "nicer" rooms, is there a secret to getting one? Or is it just a case of the obvious: the higher the price, the higher the quality? Thanks, Dave

I took a few bags of genuine Wisconsin ginseng roots last time I went. Didn't have a problem. I was even dumb enough to list it on those customs forms they have you fill out on the flight. I handed it to the customs agent at the airport and all she asked was if I had a large amount of US currency to declare.
