  4. Comparing Manila to my city of Cincinnati or the other same said type cities like Pittsburgh, St Louis or Indianapolis is blue light special. You can search other cities in the Phils to get a cost comparison. A former CFL guy DMikeS4321 is on Facebook and he lives in Manila now. I just chatted with him about 2 weeks ago. If you like to talk to him PM me and I will see if I can help you to get together.

  6. If it goes Nuke millions upon million will die. From the initial attack to all the fallout that will spread throughout Asia. Seoul and all of North Korea National Anthem will be a take off of Bob Hope's "Thanks For The Memories." Guam could become uninhabitable and he may throw one or two on Tokyo or the Philippines.
  7. Campbell died Tuesday around 10 AM in a Nashville facility for Alzheimer's patients ... according to a source close to his family. The musician released more than 70 albums over a 50-year career, and had a series of hits in the '60s and '70s including "Gentle on My Mind," "Wichita Lineman," "Galveston," "Country Boy" and his best-selling single, "Rhinestone Cowboy." RIP and may God have mercy on your soul. http://www.tmz.com/2017/08/08/glen-campbell-dead/
  8. I can't imagine why anyone would want to go there in the 1st place. http://www.journal-news.com/news/national/sources-ban-americans-travel-korea/EFIWOfpuql1JQEMUWBotXP/
  9. Corrected link - The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program is at https://step.state.gov/step/ or https://step.state.gov/step/pages/common/citizenship.aspx
  10. I would definitely register with the State Department before you go there.I have done it every time I went to China. Also call the State Department and ask them their opinion for American travelers there. It is on the border with No Korea and more the likely there are 1,000s of Korean workers there working and living there. Technically Korea is still at war with the US. You don't want wander into nest of these guys.Ask your GF about these people. She should be able to provide much info about them. https://step.state.gov/step/pages/common/citizenship.aspx
  11. A student from city was arrested there for taking a propaganda pamphlet and was sentenced to 15 year of hard labor for the offense. He was released by NK only to die after he came back home with brain damage the other day. No Korea is very hostile to Americans.
  12. If there are flights to Dandong you would be much better off flying there in stead of driving You would be facing a 4 hour drive to and from. After a long flight like this your really going to be exhausted. You may wished to book a r/t from your city here in the US like to Beijing or Shanghai if Shenyang does not offer a flight there. Then book another flight to Dandong from Beijing. You will more then likely get a better flight and save a few bucks. You just have to make sure of the timing. Here is a link for you to study on Chinese flights in China. http://english.ctrip.com/chinaflights/Beijing-to-Dandong/tickets-bjs-ddg/?flighttype=d&startdate=2017-07-05&returndate=2017-07-31&dcity=bjs&acity=ddg&relddate=13&relrdate=39&startday=wed&returnday=mon&relweek=1&Quantity=1&ChildQty=0&BabyQty=0&searchboxArg=t
  13. It would be so wonderful to meet her and you guys get married and have marriage made in heaven. Marriages made in heaven have variables also. Heaven produces wind, rain, thunderstorms and hail. You will never achieve perfection with anyone. However you can go for excellence but your partner must have the same goal. Like Dan said you can go to China and have trip of lifetime. If it feels right go for it. If not don't tell her that things wouldn't work out between you. Wait till your back in the USA to tell her this. I know this sounds cowardly but she may feel you just used her to see China and other fringe bennys and your piece of heaven may turn into hell for you. There are no guarantees in life only opportunity. Its up to you to decide which one to take. Good luck to you.
  14. RIP Carl. Very wise man on the various visas that we should apply for.
  15. Hall of Fame Pitcher and long time Congressman Jim Bunning also passed today at 85. Only Congressman to enter baseball's HOF.
  16. Gregg Allman, the soulful singer-songwriter and rock 'n' blues pioneer who founded The Allman Brothers Band with his late brother, Duane, and composed such classics as "Midnight Rider," "Melissa" and the epic concert jam "Whipping Post," has died at age 69. He was diagnosed with hepatitis C in 1999 and underwent a liver transplant in 2010. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/gregg-allman-dead-southern-rock-trailblazer-was-69-992288
  17. Both animals and "being mean" are in no way being implied or even being referenced to here. Feeding and attracting wild birds to ones property is a wonderful way to both see and support nature. Being able to see and perhaps even capture the moment with a picture is simply a bonus, giving one an opportunity to share the moment with others. My error. Greg is right. Dui bu qi.
  18. Why be mean to animals? They treat you better then most people.
