Thomas Promise

Last night a very good friend of mine for nearly 50 years has got engaged to a very lovely lady from Fushun,China named Zhouyan. Zhouyan also is a very good friend of my SO Lihua. When I went to meet my SO in Fushun my friend Mike wanted to know all about my trip and the Lady I fell in love with there. Mike being a single man again asked me if Li had any sisters or friends. Well the the rest was history as we all say today. This past week Mike, Zhouyan and Lihua met Lee Fisher, his SO Hong Min and SinoTexas's SO Gui Ping for lunch in Fushun. Zhouyan knew Gui Ping (As Lee said go figure) and they all had a nice meeting and lunch there. I wish I could have been there with Lihua and everyone and when Mike asked Zhouyan for her hand. Maybe we American guys missed our calling in life. It seems we should of all been Florists because it seems we know how to pick out the very best flowers of Fushun. I wish my friend all the best with his new SO and again thank you Lee, Hong Min and Gui Ping for taking the time to meet Lihua, Zhouyan and Mike.

I just recieved an e-mail telling me that our NOA2 was approved on September 30!!! The Snail is moving finally. It took "just" 78 days to get it to NAO2. For Nebraska Service Center things are improving dramatically. Let us all hope that this service will continue to improve for everyone concerned. Best of luck to all. Tom

My SO still lives in China and as I mentioned she wishes to improve on her English so we can communicate better ans she will be able to adjust better after she comes her to America. (My Chinese also needs a 911) Her and myself have looked into the cost of the English Classes in Fushun,China and we have been quoted as high as $900.00 for these courses. I personally think this is sort of high. I also know that you get what you pay for in life but I also want to recieve the value for the money I will invest. Any help on this Subject?

I have been offered a better job with better earnings and benefits to boot. Since I am only in the NOA1 Stage of the 129-F Visa process I wonder if this could hurt us if I did change jobs now. I hope I can get some insight on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thomas

My SO wishes to improve on her English speaking abilities. Does any one have any information on the best way to approach this. Ie, Private tutor, English classes, self help improvement. Also what is the approximate cost of the English lessons.
