    When is the name check submitted, before or after the interview? GUZ received our P3 on 12/02/02, and up to today they stated that they haven't 'processed' our forms yet. What does this mean? And can someone briefly explain the process of name check submission? Thanks.

    Thanks for the many useful perspectives. I'm still doing my research and the views on this thread have been helpful. I'm leaning towards the Western Union route, because I plan on just doing a one time transfer and seems there are less hassles than a bank transfer.

    Has anyone tried transferring money to China through the Bank of China or Western Union? Any experiences of sending or transferring money to China?

    I've been experiencing the same problem. I'm assuming they have pulled the plug for the time being due to the overwhelming inquiries they're getting now.

    Are there any other DOS numbers beside the 202-663-1225? And is there a way to avoid the 'lady that knows nothing' and speak to someone 'who knows something'? What's the number?

    I just called DOS about a background check status and a lady put me on hold for a minute and told me that the computers were down and she told me to try again in an hour. Was she telling the truth or just pulling my leg?
