  1. The 'processing dates' can give an indication of when to expect your interview date - that is, once the processing date catches up to the date your I-485 was filed, you should be getting an interview. Sounds like your way ahead of that, so they probably haven't updated the date in awhile. No more useful information can be expected until you receive the green card.
  2. He may do that anyway, since they show up on your income tax.
  3. The contribution of a house to your net worth is its value minus your mortgage. Any (and every) house, whether paid off or not, can be listed as an asset. I don't see why you wouldn't list all assets (if a value is readily available), in any case. If you have no income, your combined assets must total at least 5 times the poverty wage. For any year in which you had no income tax return, you should include a written explanation.
  4. There's always '-------' or 'N/A'. I simply answered each of the questions.

  7. Yes - 90 days. If you haven't gotten it, you can make an InfoPass appt and get a temporary one. I'm not sure of the timing there (if you go before or after 90 days) Here you go:
  8. If she does what you seem to be suggesting here, she might find herself deported for immigration fraud. Be careful.
  9. Congrats, and don't be too strangeĀ®!
  10. I believe the program is being expanded:
  11. I think it's a non-starter for 2 reasons: You never get enough feedback to know what their concern is The last thing a denied couple need to do is to look at each other in that light In just about all the cases we've seen, the Chinese beneficiary is responsible for filling in blanks on the P3 and P4 forms and looking perky for the interview, while the US citizen is responsible for providing the proof of relationship. You'll never know which was the weak point. If you are questioning your relationship after a denial, then, yes, it probably is over with.
  12. I think we all missed that you are K-3 - no evidence is needed, other than the marriage certificate.
  13. my concern would be if someone puts something in there, and the VO normally gets the case packet just before the interview.. what if there's not enough time for the VO to look at Everything submitted? That was USCISs job in the first place since the DOS has never asked for relationship evidence during the process, only forms... Is the VO going to try to review 100 emails prior to the interview if they were submitted with the P3? They will almost assuredly look at pictures already in the file - our IO did at the AOS interview. To my way of thinking, if you have some good pictures, it's VERY desirable to have those in your folder before the interview - this means submit them with the I-129F. And "proof of meeting" is a good excuse to include them.
  14. Why go through Shanghai? Check the flights from Beijing to Nanning.
  15. Remember that anything submitted with the original petition is in the hands of the VO BEFORE the interview. Seems to me that that would be a big advantage, especially if you have more "evidence of continuing relationship" to show at the interview.
  16. No - did you get a customs declaration on the plane? Non-citizens should have been given the I-94 as well. If she doesn't have it stapled in her passport next to the visa (go back and look again), I'm certain you're stuck for the $160. Remember that it proves that she arrived legitimately. I hate to be too basic, but did you look in her passport next to her visa?
  17. Yes - I believe Wally would have answered that he knew and trusted his SO enough to sign it. It has nothing to do with trusting your SO - it is a promise you make to the US government in the event that your trust might be misplaced.
  18. I-94 Arrival/Departure Record These are handed out on the plane for you to hand to the IO, who will then staple it inside your passport, next to the visa.
  19. My ex-wife and I were advised by our attorney to tape record conversations with her ex by connecting a recorder to the phone line. He advised that it is permissable to record ANY communication to which you are a party (without notifying the other party), and the evidence IS admissable in court.
  20. "No document found. " when you try to call up the INA. The case status pages are still at their old locations. The main (portal) page is now http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis , although http://www.uscis.gov/ still works.
  21. The new web site is apparently affecting a number of external sites that have links to the old. I think a lot of the pages are still in transit, as well
  22. If I read that correctly, she is asking you to lie to the INS about your marriage. Report that to the INS.
