If I understand correctly, a CR-2 over 16 goes for their interview alone. What questions should they prepare for?

Chad, My SO also got a June interview date. June 9th. We can't understand Guz's reasoning...but are happy for the extra time to prepare a little more. We didn't want the 14 day notice before interview...that I have seen here lately.

Frank, Maybe you are right....because my daughter's P-4 was also sent out on Feb. 24th....with an interview date of June 9th. In Dec 2005, we were told that Wei would be eligible for an interview in 5-7 months from that time. And it will be just about 7.5 months since her case was completed.

Yesterday, I called DOS with my normal Friday call...to check on the status of my wife's case. I was told that my wife's P-4 was sent out on Feb. 24 and she should receive it in the next few days. They also told me my SO's interview date...which is June 9,2006. I can't understand Guz's logic in a long time between P-4 and interview...but my wife and I are very happy to finally get our interview date.

I believe that I am also in the 'famous' name check delay for my SO. I am also about 65 days into it. I contacted the FBI by email for a status after 30 days. NO ANSWER!!! Then I sent another email to them after 60 days. Still no answer from that one either. Next week...I will try to contact them by phone. My SO's daughter took about 8 days to have her name check completed, according to DOS. FYI: I work where we have FBI 10 year security checks for any new employee. Those checks take 4-10 days.

Atomnc: My SO's case will be 12 months on November 18, 2005 from start to this point of waiting for a interview date. Our projected interview date is November 11th for a CR-1 visa. I think that GUZ seems to have slowed down to the pace of molasses going uphil after their September surge. So I think that maybe our interview won't be until December or maybe January. Rich
