  1. thanks for taking the time to share this. How, and where, did you connect to the Internet? Best wishes for your upcoming interview.
  2. so, you can present whatever you want, including last minute amendments.
  3. Ok, let me have it. What is touched? Used to mean crazy, as in "he's touched."
  4. Agree. Once gambling "he" is not about to give his paycheck to anybody but the table.
  5. When I arrive at LAX from China they always ask 'where have you been?' Or, how long were you there? Well, let me think- 18 Chinese USC just went through the line ahead of me............... As for how long- they never flip open the visa page. At least they haven't looked for mine because there are so many. They could never find the right one.
  6. yeah, I picture the the little green dude in Star Wars- the all knowing Jedi master.
  7. Are the K-1 vs K-3 processes so different? Yes, I submitted an I-134 and supporting documents with the original application. The original I-134 was accepted since I am on the way to an interview. At the interview they will ask for the I-134 again and they want to see it is dated shortly before the interview. Hence, I can "re-submit" all the I-134 documents because, significantly, the tax years since filing have changed. Is this not a similar process for you?
  8. Congratulations on your success. Welcome you and Song to the USA.
  9. When y'all get the P-4 and are waiting the Interview it doubles whatever the wait time for namecheck to P-4 felt like. Remember the Twilight Zone?
  10. I'd vote for pharmacy tech over nurse. Nurse's assistant, LVN or RN work hard get paid well and probably miserablely long hours at night to begin. but, if it's what she wants.... In Calif there is a waiting list for the nursing program. Call your local schools and ask them about their program.
  11. Yeah, but! Guz speeding up aside, my Interview date beat the averages.
  12. You know what they say- there's only two guarantees in life; death & taxes. Now you can add GUZ as in GUZ don't know. As soon as any body picked a time, it would change! But, the laws of averages are on your side. Actually a better guide is the timeline chart showing P-3 date to P-4 date.
  13. Do an Internet search "california community property", I just did. Maybe this explains it. 1) What is community property? California law defines community property as any asset acquired or income earned by a married person while living with his or her spouse. Separate property is defined as anything acquired by a spouse before the marriage, or during the marriage by gift, d evise or bequest. The law requires that the community estate be divided equally if there is no written agreement to the contrary. This means that from the total fair market value of the community assets, the joint obligations of the parties are subtracted, yielding the net community estate. Unless agreed otherwise, each spouse must receive 0†5 of the net community estate. So, you must merely explain "yes, I am married- no, she does not and has not lived with me, and I can prove it."
  14. Trigg has said it before, Calif is a strange place. Is your wife on the title? Maybe it's irrelevant because Calif is a "community" property state. Did you just ask the title company why?
  15. Yes. We are interested in the book. thanks
  16. The problem for a non-English speaker, I believe, is that immigrants tend to congregate with other same language immigrants. End result- they don't have a chance to learn another language at work. The exception- Spanish is common through out the restaurant industry. I met teachers who worked at the local Chinese Language school. That is- the school taught Chinese to Yanks, mostly 2nd generation Chinese kids, adults wanting to travel and adopted kids from China.
  17. Ron & Eva- way to go!! More good news. Lee- nevermind coffee, you are in the land of real tea for real men!
  18. noonefu, Once again you have outdone the expected. This is a great summation! Everything you present here is well thought out, usually factual and if not, you explain why you thought that way. thanks, man!
  19. I figure it's better to wait for somebody who really knows to answer you. But, they are all chasing pets or watching Roger's beard. I understand K-1 is merely one time permission to enter with provision that you get married within 90 days. You said "wife" so, as long as you're married your ok, the K-1 is not useful anymore anyway.
  20. In fact, ever had nerve conduction testing? Acupuncture is much less painful.
  21. I have had acupuncture. Can you handle a mop-slap? These needles are like a mosiquito bite without the swelling and itching.
  22. Time is supposed to fly when you're having fun..................... Now that she has a green card where does she want to go? Besides Portland?
  23. The phone card company I use will e-mail me a copy of my records within about 30 minutes of my request including the date, number called, number called from and number of minutes the call lasted. Call your customer information line and ask them to e-mail the records to her, if they have any. Otherwise, I agree with the previous post- don't worry too much about it.
