  1. We both understand your anger. We would like ours to be finished quickly as well, but reason, compassion and honor compel me to wish all of us get treated equally. This being said, it seems that the timeline of 12 months is average and should be considered. Looking at everyone's individual timeline, it appears everyone gets at least one delayed portion. We both wish you expedience and happiness.
  2. Once again, thanks for some great feedback. Yes, I have found the links to everything you guys are saying. My I-134 will be good until August of 2005, but I will fill out another. It is no big deal. We now have all the docs for the P3 that are listed, so that when the proper amount of aging is done and we receive this K-1 P3 package, we are ready to go. They are: DS230 Part 1 OF167 & 169 We also have already obtained the passport and the certs. I have been in regular contact with NVC and am hoping it is down to an any day now as far as them shipping it to GZ. They will tell me when they ship it--as I will call and they will answer. How do I locate it once NVC is finished and sends it? I will browse around the site later, maybe it is already posted somewhere. Thanks!
  3. My real name is Rob, but my chinese friends can never pronounce it correctly so it went from Rob to Robby to Luo bin...so...if you CAN pronounce it...it is Rob I ordered a K-1 Visa booklet when I first began this journey. The instructions were to fill out the I-129F, the G-325A and the I-134. And so, this is what I did. That is why I was wondering if it was the same document. This is really nothing to worry about yes? I have no income problems--as my recent purchase of a new house for my beloved bride can atest. Reading some of these posts without really looking got me confused a bit, but things are starting to get clearer. By the way, thanks a lot for all the work you have done. Many of the very informative links have your address somewhere on them.
  4. Ok...I feel like a big ole dumba**... I just found--and quite easily I might add--the link for P3 & P4. So..being the type A overachiever I am...I printed them in duplicate in both english and chinese... .. Who would have thought that they are right here...you would think that someone actually found this stuff complicated and wanted to help other poor unfortunate souls like me... One more thing...was I the only other person whose K-1 Fiance papers asked for the I-134 in the initial round?
  5. I am very, very happy to have all of you guys!! Is the I-134 that comes in P3 the same as the one that I sent in the K-1 Fiance package?
  6. Ok....I have gone in circles for hours. I have downloaded and pre-prepared the DS-230. I cannot find the OF 167 or OF 169 and have read conflicting reports on whether or not I will need to submit the I-864. I will pre-prepare it just in case, but can anyone tell me if they had to submit it to Guangzhou? Another confusing issue is to whom do I submit these docs--to Guangzhou or to NVC?
  7. Thanks man. One thing I will say is that I am kind of freaked out a little about sharing too much personal contact info. I have heard horror stories about people getting someones personal info in an attempt to steal the visa and use it for themselves, at the very least causing delays in the otherwise already lengthy process. Any thoughts on this matter?
  8. Police Cert--do you remember what she asked the police for when she went? Single Cert--where did she go to get it? Thanks!
  9. So...where does my SO get these items? Obviously we get the Police Cert from the Police station, but what exactly is it? As for the single cert, where do we get this? Thanks!!
  10. Can you point in the direction of the forms I need? I have been told a few different things by people. Thanks!
  11. Hey all....I was wonderin.... 1) Who do they send the P3 to--us or our SO? 2) Any tips on how to complete it? 3) What is the best way to deliver it to our overworked and understaffed saviors-to-be in Guangzhou? Should we use DHL or USPS? Thanks...
  12. Ah yes, the wonderful Southern lands of our great country... Hey! I was wondering how you all sent your P3's back to GZ? Did you use USPS? or DHL? I was also wondering if they send it to your SO or do they send it to us? Yet another question I have is how do I change my address? I will be closing on a new house in about 3 weeks or so....and this K-1 process takes long enough, I don't want to cause any further delay. Thanks guys!!!
  13. Anticipating Jialu's arrival here in the U.S., I have purchased a new house in lovely Elk Grove, CA. I wish to have the furniture her family has given to her sent to the house before she arrives. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have contacted a shipping agency in Zhanjiang and they will ship it, I was wondering what others experiences are as far as waiting until the Visa is approved or sending it earlier. Is there any advantage in waiting until the visa is approved?
  14. I feel your pain "Chinese wife" We went the K-1 Fiance Visa route, had the great traditional family "engagement" party, and are planning a wedding if and when she comes to the great state of California. I call NVC every few days and talk to someone who assures me that nothing has been lost and there is no timetable for when the NVC background check will be complete. This last time I pushed the issue to speak to a supervisor--being very calm and polite as usual--and was told to call back in one week, that they would check. This would correspond with a few others who responded to this--one in particular from November 10, that was processed on Jan 25. This would put me in line this week. Then of course, would come the delay and back up of mail due to the New Years Celebration in Guangdong...oh well....patience is all we have...and cheetos I guess!!! Thanks for everyone being here!!
  15. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with shipping items such as furniture and other household items such as drapes, carpets, ceramics, paintings, statues and other dong xi? I have heard and read many things, but haven't actually heard anyones personal experiences. Anyone????
  16. Thank you guys! I feel much better knowing that others have taken the same amount of time. I have called the NVC...probably too many times At least I can think that it is not lost since that is how long yours have taken. I must remember how threatening a 25 year old chinese girl who weighs 95 lbs is the US Government...
  17. My case has been at the NVC in New Hampshire since November 15. It is now January 29. Has anyone else had this ridiculous wait? I am in California and my Fiance is in Guangdong, Zhanjiang
