The EMS Letter Has Arrived. She Will Pick Up The Visa Tuesday. RA RA RA

My Lynn has tracked her EMS letter and she tells me that it should arrive Tommorrow. We are working on pickup and the flight home. Ill post up to departure and when she recovers from Jet Lag we will have some new pics to post on our site.

There are many forums to carry on political discussions in,ones that are better suited to the cause and direction. The Chinese are not the cause of our visa delay problem,our own government has been. They are changing that for the better thank God,but we cant really help those who are still waiting in China if we get blocked. God knows those still suffering dont need another problem.

I just came home and found a follow up message from Cathryn Cabral on my phone which indicates that Lynn's Visa has been printed and the EMS Letter was sent. Happy Day!!!

The latest communication from DOS. Confirmation Of Clearence. Dear Mr. XXXXX: This replies to your emails of February 28 to Maura Harty and others regarding the pending visa case of your fiancee. I called your home phone number and left a similar voice mail message today. To answer your inquiries: 1) Your fiancee's case number has not changed. It remains GUZ2002XXXXXX 2) As of March 3, the Consulate in Guangzhou has not yet sent a notice to your fiancee. I will contact Guangzhou to ascertain why they have not yet sent a notice to Ms.XXXX XXX. As Mr. Simkin indicated in his email to you of February 14, the State Department transmitted clearnce in your fiancee's case to Guangzhou on that date. I hope this information is helpful. To add some background on the strategy. When I sent my original stements of intent I used both passprt numbers and her national ID in concert with full color certified copies of our passports. At present GZ has her passport. I printed the entire letter but hand tagged the date and my signature which is echoed on the passport copy I sent today and also the certified copy they have. This is what we call a pincer. No place to run,nowhere to hide, no excuse. I Win.

My latest effort was today. I sent a formal request for action to Attn: Richard Adams via Global Priority mail. It is printed in 3 colors and sticks out like a sore thumb,with his name on it. Along with this I included color copies of both our passports leaving no room for mis-identification. With Global priority mail I can track the letter until its delivered. I also included a copy of the original Andrew Simkin E-Mail. It has come to my attention through the efforts of Andrew Simkin of The Department of State, that the clearance for my fiancée was transmitted to the Consulate on February 14,2003. State Message #XXXXX. In spite of this fact and the fact that it is indeed a certainty that my fiancée’s clearance must be in the hands of the consulate as evidenced by the State Message # XXXXX. Hi Ski The Cable number is looks just like this. State Message # 12345 It is really just a five digit number with no letters preceded by "State Message " And it is not related to the EMS. It is the numeric indentification for a cable transmission from D.O.S. to Guangzhou. Take Care

Mick, to say that his system is slow is an understatement. We chatted about my work and could have had a couple of beers whil we waited for the pages to come up. We would exchange data,the chat while we waited. The information about the case is accessible under Name and Date Of Birth in addition to the GUZ number. In my early stage of the process I asked the question. Could my case get confused with someone who's fiancee has the same name? I was told that in looking for case data at least 3 criteria were used. 1. Name 2.Date Of Birth 3. Case #. Its really not too hard to pull up case status. It just takes someone who knows how. Im of course quoting from a cross section of experience over the past year not only the conversation today. The question about names was posed back in May I think.

It wasnt really that bad but Im speaking in emotional terms. I need to blow off occasionally. I Love my girl,but Im quite human. She has suffered as well waiting and not being able to do anything day after day. She is depressed and tired. If we can make it through this our marriage is no problem.

When I call lynn Dad answers and I say Nihou BaBa, I cant really say much more than that. He knows what I mean. Lynn has worked in Guangzhou for about four years,but she is basicly a country girl. She hates to be thought of as country so much. A friend remarked that her chinese was heavily accented. He opined that another girl's chinese were perfect. It has really been a challenge for me to figure out what part of Lynns behaviour are really a result of our cultural differences and wha part are her own ways. The confusion has caused me to be distrusting of her real habits and whether or not Im getting a raw deal. In the last two months I have been increasingly criticized for the lack of momentum of this visa case. It makes me frruustrated and angry that with me working myself to death I am being made to be "Stupid" as she puts it. I wonder to myself why with all the girlsin china I had to find the one most ungratefull one in the lot. It really depresses me. I feel like the smallest bug on the pile sometimes. I know that she is sitting home and waiting,which is hard. But its also difficult to work 65 hours a week and be stuck away from someone you love. She seems like a kid who whines at the top of her lungs and no matter how bad it is for me she never seems to notice. This thing with Guangzhou has me so stressed that I think sometimes that it will never end. Even after she arrives my nerves will never be the same. In eight months in Guangzhou I never had a clue what was going on. Ive heard of other couples who went out together,she acted like doing things with me was bad or somthing. Your too tall your neck is bowed,your too fat. Its a wonder I survived the affair. Sometimes I just wish I would drop over and solve all of my problems.
