  1. How long has Microsoft been in business, how many billions have they made? And still they have not got it right, do you think Version 7 will be any better? Go with Apple OS, and Mozilla for a browser.
  2. If you look close at this picture you can see where the building just sits on the "footing" foundation. It seems that they rely on the weight of the building to keep it in place. Poured Concrete buildings, need special attention to the curing process to avoid, cracking, mold and moisture. In Xing Tai they are selling 2-3 bedroom condos in buildings like these for 50,000-80,000 USD unfinished, these pictures make me wonder of the overall quality of the building.
  3. Why are they asking for $170.00?
  4. Access America is the name of the company I had bought travel insurance from it was offered by Continental Airline. There are policies that you can purchase for less and for more money, this one cost me $66.14 for that, I received Baggage Coverage. $300.00, Baggage Delay, $200.00, Emergency medical Transport $50,000., Emergency Medical and Dental $10,000., Travel/Trip delay $200.00 and Travel Interruption Protection $1,058.24 this was the price of the ticket. All in USD. One caveat of this kind of coverage, make sure the policy says, INSURANCE in the contract.
  5. Travel insurance is a wise, expenditure. One reason and not the only one, that I buy it, is that if I die I will not be a expense to my family to have my body shipped backed, I understand this could cost at least, $10,000.00, then there is the emergency medical and the refund of your ticket cost under certain circumstances.
  6. I wonder if the Chinese value of money is slightly skew to how we value money in the USA, I'm talking a fundamental difference. I noticed something along this line, what was spent, was spent, what can we spend today, without thought to what was already spent, still trying to figure this out.
  7. Suggestion for hotel: The Red Wall Hotel, three types of rooms, one of which is a "Chinese Traditional" near the Forbidden City's back gate, book online, save $.
  8. Is this the NOID/NOIR, letter that gives you 33 days to answer if so, have you answered?
  9. I have used Mobil Caller, they provide a six month record.
  10. Are you flying to Guz from Beijing? Train will take 30 hours +..
  11. Light at the end of a tunnel! Best wishes.
  12. If a petition is returned for the non-bonafide reasons and one is not given a chance to review but only the option to refile, now add the cost of this refile from both the petitioner and beneficiary, the original petition expires not through the fault of the petitioner but the process of the system, why should the petition not be given a chance to be reaffirmed and sent back. What bothers me, is the added cost of a refile, a penalty, even though quite possible no fault of the petitioner or beneficiary.
  13. If one needs to refile with fees, where is the good news in this? Is it that a finding of visa fraud is not charged against them?
  14. Xing Tai has some condo deals, brand new 2 bedrooms from around $50,000 , three bedrooms about $80,000 US dollars, I believe you will need to finish them off also the value of them could double within two years.
  15. At the Citizen hour, they mentioned that the case would not be sent electronically but by regular mail, made a point of this to tell me.
  16. I do not know the answer about reasons the Service centers sends out letters, I did send FOIA letters to USCIS and Dept. of State, maybe that helped to get a response from USCIS. Thanks, for you well wishes!
  17. This past May, I received a letter from from the Service Center the infamous NOID/NOIR giving me 33 days to respond, I sent about 60 pages overnight delivery USPO, on the 22 of May, so with Memorial Day on the 25th it was delivered on the 26th, June 3rd a letter from the service center was sent reaffirming the original approval and sent back to the Dept. of State for Review (GUZ). I was in China so I went to the Citizen hour and asked a couple of questions, one was for time for the interview again, maybe 6 months reason being snail mail and Chinese Customs... Some sunshine after much rain.
  18. Somewhere , I read under Chinese marriage laws both spouses are to share equal! My fiancee knows, I will treat her like the lady she is, which is a rather nice woman but be a sugar daddy I do not think so, maybe they get these ideas from talking among themselves or from 001, dispel this thought and live in peace.
  19. I've been thinking alot more about this... And your taking an isolated example (sun burns out; earth or other heavenly bodies remain). A match burns out since it cannot keep up with the unlimited air around it. Put the match in a closed container; if the match is large enough, it will require more air than is in the container and the air would get used up; no more Yin. All I did was reverse the relative size of the items involved in 'burning' away. Extreme Yang will burn up Yin (this is a proportional idea). Nonetheless, I sought better indications instead of size or amount; although I did feel that in general, Yang needs to be tempered downward due to it's energy levels, and Yin needs to be encouraged upward due to it's stabilizing effect (yes, this agrees with the meridian flow aspect in the body too). Also, what is very clear in chinese history and philosophy is that Yin is considered more dominant in terms of primary focus and attention; A few examples: - lunar (Ying) calendar over solar (Yang) calendar - eastern medicine favors Yin approach to western Yang approach - Nature shows Yin is favorite child, in a sense (tree root is Yin and essential; water is Yin and often mentioned as archtype way to follow). - Even the Laws of entropy show outer (Yang) decays before inner (Yin). Too many examples could be given to show Yang is strong but will decay and burn out; Yin is weak, and yet more essential for preservation and lasts... thus, Yin accords more attention. I'll only end with; they are not competitors but essential to balance each other. And their natural course (or way) is the understanding for life as we know it around us. Lao Zi said: It is Yin on my shoulders and Yang on my arms... yet together they function as part of the outer body (Yin), controlled by the inner body of mind (Yang), which is influenced by heaven above (Yang) and the earth belong (Yin); to live, inhale (Yin) and exhale (Yang); Ingest substance (Yin) and digest and process to waste (Yang)... it's an endless cycle. Life exists due to both. When Yin/Yang separate, death follows.
  20. I found China a paradox, in it's "freedoms"; One I noticed they have is an economic freedom, which the people of the USA enjoy, one they do not have is property ownership, like in the US, if the government wants the land they take it no eminent domain as in the USA, after Tiananmen Square of twenty years ago, the Chinese government is as strong or stronger than ever and the people of China do not seem too concerned about a Democratic way of life or change by insurrection for history has shown when the, Dogs of war are released in China, millions die and suffer.
  21. The Dan-tien is the store house of chi without a doubt. Yin with its darkness and cold would eventually overwhelm Yang. Yang being light, light as we know it is a product of the sun. Suns burn out, Yin triumphs with its eternal darkness and cold.. so take it beyond child talking what does it mean for life ? Proably nothing, other than an intellectual discourse.
  22. The issue here is, not being told what the reason for denial is, yes it may be this or it may be that, but what that is, is just subjective speculation , if the denial is not based on, FACT! Then the debate begins about why the Consulate does not give the reason, something about visa fraud., if one goes along with that, I know some people who are trying to sell a bridge in New York. Tell the people who are denied, the reason, bottom line..
