I called Jade last night and got the great news! She told me that out of 10 k1 interviews only 2 - she and another woman - got white slips. The rest all got blue slips. The interview went like this:

VO-Do you speak English?

Jade - yes

VO- How did you meet your fiance?

Jade - introduced by a mutual friend

VO- How many times has he come to China?

Jade- six times

VO - six times? why so many times? Is he a rich man?

Jade- No he comes alot for business

VO - Can I see a copy of his passport?

Jade - (reaches through the window to point out that he already has the copy)

VO - Do not put you hands beyond the glass(shuts window)

Jade- I'm sorry

VO -Where does he work?

Jade- (answers with my company name)

VO- What does he do?

Jade- He's an Electrician

VO- What do you parents think of you gettiing married?

Jade- They told me that if I am happy they are happy

VO- Why dont you get married in China instead of the US?

Jade- because a lawyer told us it would be faster to marry in the US.

VO - Why do you want it to be faster?

Jade- because I love my fiance very much and want to be with him

VO- what is one of his hobbies?

Jade- watching movies

VO- What is his favorite movie

Jade- Sleepless in Seatle

VO- What is his favorite song?

Jade- Sweet sweet smile

VO- will any relatives be coming to the US with you?

Jade- no

VO- (fills out white slip) bring this back on Friday at 4:00pm and pick up your visa

Jade- Thank you!

The only things the VO looked at were our pictures, my bank statements, copy of my passport, receipt for wedding dress(which he kept), and receipt for her tuition at the University.

I was suprised by the amount of questions! I told Jade that most likely she would only be asked around 3-4 questions as thats what I have read in most the interview posts here. Anyway, I am soooo proud of her. She really did a wonderfull job in spite of being nervous after the VO became provoked when she put her hand through the interviewers window when trying to help point out some paperwork.

We are both very happy and excited! I cant wait to see her and give her a big hug and kiss when she arrives San Franciso next Saturday!

To all those waiting - there is light at the end of the tunnel - just hang in there.

A year and two months waiting and we are now on the brink of beginning a wonderfull life together!

Now please let this next week go by fast!
