b.c
Ah, the good life in Chengdu. Looking forward to retiring there in many years. Thanks for this. Link to comment
bullmastiff
Yeah, it 's kind of my town since lao po is Sichuan native. I don't like the food though ,,,, it has spicy sauce in ALL of them . Caused me diarrhea .Otherwise, Sichuan is a very nice place ; lot of temples and other scenic & cultural spots. Link to comment
Highlander 08 09 10 11
Are these old photos? I never seen a bycycle in Chengdu. On my 3 trips to Chongqing, I only seen a half dozen bycycles.... Link to comment
sichuan red
My lao po is also from Sichuan. But I like the food there. I've seen many bicycles in Chengdu. Link to comment

HongKong2LA
Nice pics...haven't been to Chengdu yet but many of the sights are very similar to scenes I've seen (tongue twister...say that 5 times fast) in other parts of China. Link to comment

Robert S.
I could kick myself for not copying some of his photos from his travels, especially when he and his (then) wife went to the famous mountain. Anybody remember the fantastic pic of the old lady leading the the monster water buffalo on a leash? I tried to search for that thread a couple different ways and could not find it. Do we still have that in the archives here? (Beggar begs compugenius to find, please). Link to comment

The thread I want was just all pictures one after another with them traveling and then hiking on this mountain. There was the little boy in the field with his mother and they threw him some candy and when he ran back to his momma he had the cute little open flap on the back of his pants. There was Larry learning how to thresh wheat by hand. Man that guy made some good pix but the old lady with the buffalo was awesome. Link to comment
