I-751 processing quite fast for my wife Emily

On 5/31/09 - exactly 90 days before my wife's 2 year green card expires we mailed the I-751 form and all supporting documents to USCIS.

 

On 6/8/09 we received the NOA letter (I-751 Receipt Notice).

 

On 6/20/09 we received the ASC Appointment Notice. Wife's Biometrics was scheduled for 7/18/09.

 

I accompanied Emily to the Application Support Center at Oakland. In and out within 20 minutes, no lines at all!

 

This morning (7/29/09) we received an email update from CRIS:

My wife just did her Bios this month 7/24/09.

 

Just look at USCIS web sit and already been touched yesterday.

 

Hopefully ours g as fast as yours.

One more thing...we were pleasantly surprised by the efficient service and polite/positive attitude encountered at the Oakland Application Support Center. Many years ago I had my biometrics appt at the same ASC and was treated like a second class citizen. Very glad my wife didn't have to go thru' that.

Yes indeed, We had a very pleasant visit at the Cleveland ASC center

 

Off the top of my head i don't remember but someone today posted a good time line of the I-751 too.

 

I will be nice to relax for a good long time and not have to worry about papers, money!! and our wonderful government.

I would say you are very lucky!

 

My case has been over 1 year, and I just had an appointment to get my passport stamped, the woman took me told me that now it takes two years to get 10 year green card!!!???

Thought they are not members of CFL.

 

My wife has two friend here in the U.S. Now.

Both are K-3 visa.

 

One has not even gotten her two year GC as of today.

this is mostly because of husband is a bumb.

 

Not the second friend has her 2 years GC and going through AOS.

Husband is a good man and paid all the fees and summited all papaers.

 

As of today, It has been 14 months and still no GC.

 

 

Not sure if it is a K-3 or a CR-1 thing but it looks like the CR-1 Is winning the horse race by a mile.

 

Clement & Emily' had a very fast turn around and is CR-1 as we are too.

 

If the time frame is close to the same, We should hear something next week on our CR-1 (I-751)

Oh!! i had the same conversation with Hong when we filed our I-751.

Now that hong has seen your post and i told her things have changed with our government she is very happy.

Today Emily received her brand spanking new 10-year green card. From the day I sent the I-751 petition till today with the green card in hand - 64 Days total. Next March I'll be petitioning for my son's I-751. Hopefully it'll go as uneventful and as fast as this one.
