HY020
Thank you very much again for all the help during the Visa process. This is a long process and it sure made it that much bearable with every one's help and support. My Fianc¨¦e wrote up the interview process in Chinese and posted on the 001 forum¡ Here is my translated version. She got up at 5:40am in the morning, went over the paper work one last time to make sure she is not missing anything, dress and eat. George Lee¡¯s wife and she went down to the Embassy about 7am and there are already a lot of people waiting in line. So, they are kind at very end of the line. Shortly after 7am, they were let in by showing their appointment letter (a number was given to them by the gate guard). After getting in the main door they went straight to 4th floor, checked their appointment letter again before letting them to the 5th floor (the number given by the gate guard was taken away at this point). Security check at 5th floor, once done you can enter the main hall to find a seat and wait. So, it really doesn¡¯t matter if go to the embassy early, just make sure you are there before 7am. Not long after my fianc¨¦e enter the main hall she was called by a Chinese personnel to a window, she was asked to provide documents and asked two questions one if she went to other countries, which she did (UK for 3 years of study and Italy for a 15 day vacation), and 2nd if she is in Communist Party (answer was no). After the Chinese personnel collected all her documents she was given a 4 digit number then asked to wait again. Documents collected here are: Medical Exam Forms, All Forms in P 4, Financial Support Documents (Tax returns, Employer Letter, I-134 form, pay stubs etc..), Copy of Passport, All her certificates (Birth, Single, Police), Visa payment Receipt. Few minutes later she was called again to take her finger prints. This only took less than a minute. Everyone took a oath at 9am then the interview begins. She was called right a way, VO is a middle aged white man. I think it is the same VO that interviewed George Lee¡¯s Wife. VO had some problem with his mic at first (my fianc¨¦e can hear him, but he can¡¯t hear her). So, VO spend few minutes fixing the mic and my fianc¨¦e helped him by keep saying ¡°Hello¡± till he can hear her. (funny). My fianc¨¦e asked VO if he wants to read the letter I wrote him, but he didn¡¯t answer and went straight for his questions. Interview was in English VO: Where are you coming from? Her: ChengDuVO: How did you meet your Finance? Her: OnlineVO: When did you Meet? Her: End of February---Then VO started to look at his computer and looking thru the documents collected earlier (I am thinking checking the financial support info). During this, my Fianc¨¦e asked VO if he like to read the letter I have wrote him, still no response. ---VO: When did he first visit you? Her: Summer, Last May---- While looking at the documents---VO: How long have you stayed in UK?Her: between 2002 and 2005VO: What did you do there? Her: CollegeVO: Did you get a Degree? Her: YesVO: When did you meet your Finance? (2nd time asking this question)Her: Last FebruaryVO: When exactly? Her: End of February, around 22nd I think.VO: What year exactly? Her: 2008VO: When did you Finance went to USA?Her: 1992VO: Do you have photos? Her: Passed him the photos. VO: Did you guys travel when he visited? Her: Not really. We mostly stayed with Family. --- VO flipped to the Family photo section and looked thru them quickly. Then took a pink slip and started to write on it. --- VO: Leave your passport here, go to that postal office and then you can leave. Her: turns around and ready to leave. VO: Oh, you passed, congratulations Her: smiled and said Thank you. That¡¯s it. 20 RMB to the Postal Office then she walked out. That¡¯s about 9:20am. People outside said he was the first one out. I was surprised to see her online at 9:20 (qq from her cell phone), so I called her right a way to got the good news. I hope this write up provides a little insight on the interview process in GuangZhou. I wish everyone a easy and smooth PINK and be with your love ones forever. Link to comment
