K1 Interview on 12/2

Alice had her K1 interview yesterday and got pink. She had the VO who look asian and Alice said she appears to be tough. The VO asked many questions to the person before her. Since Alice speaks good english, she requested the interview to be in english.

 

Here are some of the questions that the VO asked her:

 

How did she met her fiance and where?

What does he do for a living? How long did he worked there?

Where does he lives? Since she said I lived in Sacramento, the VO asked what other cities are around here. Alice said San Francisco and the VO appeared pleased by this answer.

How many trips did he take to China? Since I visited Alice four times over the last year, the VO asked how come I have so much vacation?

Have your parents met before?

How much older is your fiance?

Is she a communist party member?

Have we been marry before?

What language do you use to communicate?

What are your plans after going to USA?

Why do you want to marry him?

Why do you feel he is the right one for you?

 

The VO asked questions very fast in a conversational format. Alice thinks the VO was trying to make her make a mistake. After the questions, the VO reviewed our picture album. Since me and Alice went to many places in China together such as Hainan Island, Hangzhou, Beijing, and Yunnan. After reviewing our pictures. The VO said she trust us and did not review our skype chats and emails. Then she said congratulations. She told Alice that she speaks english well. The interview took around 15-20 minutes.

 

Alice said the whole process was very intimidating. We got there at 7am and they let us in at 8am. I stayed at the coffee shop on the 4th floor. I got a cup of coffee for 55 rmb, the refill was 10 rmb. Alice came down at 9:45am. She came down early so I do not know how well other people did. She gave me a big smile and hug, so other people there know that she passed.
