izus
the perfect definition of love is something im sure most have heard, in my opinion i think it defines it perfectly.my wifes sisters recited this poem at the wedding in chinese. it was awesome. Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs . . . love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preservers. They really don't leave much room for error, which I have enough to make up for those that don't make 'em.... There are no conditions with those words. It is OK to error. It is simply a guide to help point you in the right direction if you get lost. Link to comment

Guest Rob & Jin
To a Chinese its action. not words AGREE ? The Chinese don't have ownership to that approach. Anyone in a relationship that ignores this simple rule, deserves what they get. A wise man once said: "She was a fast machine, she kept her motor cleanShe was the best damn woman that I ever seenShe had the sightless eyes, telling me no liesKnockin' me out with those China-girl thighsTaking more than her share, had me fighting for airShe told me to come but I was already there" i think those wise man were a couple of Aussy dudes named Brian and Angus Arn't all Aussies called Bruce Edited October 31, 2008 by Rob & Jin (see edit history) Link to comment

Sebastian
When I first read it, ages past, I was floored... It's stuck with me, ever since. Sure, it's from a fictional character, but it rings true with me... Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own. SmilingAsia
It's very very frustrating when a man writes you tons of love poems and never addresses your concerns for a future together and never mentions any actual planning for a future together. Can it be considered emotional disorder cuz this man is always absorbed in his beautiful poems? Depends on the man. I love to run my mouth about my sweet wifeout here, got a big one to, many times dont make no sense to no onebut me. Day to day no its not that way. Its life and how we both decide we want it to be. Thats what we always talk about in email, on the phone or yahoo. Now its side by side almost two years now. I still find ways to show her how much she means to me, dont matter where it is. Nothing but poems yep sounds like a problem. Link to comment
LaurenAmber
For me love is to give all and expect nothing in return, and to never expect to recieve but to prove your gratefulness when you do. Like my husband took amazing care of me when I was sick, and never expected me to thank him or anything. He happily took care of me because he's my husband. But then when I felt better, i spent some time doing my best to tell my husband romantic thank yous in Chinese to show him I had been studying. And various little things like that. the perfect definition of love is something im sure most have heard, in my opinion i think it defines it perfectly.my wifes sisters recited this poem at the wedding in chinese. it was awesome.
