Guest Rob & Jin
Hang in there, she'll be right, mate. tsap seui Thanks cobber Our troubles very small compared to what they did to you Just you dont have it until that piece of paper is glued in there and she is here. maybe GUZ likes the "chinese water torture" cant say i do Really hope the guys and gals next week are back to the 2 days post interview, its costly $ and flipping frustrating to still be kept apart, not much fun for Jin to be be sitting in a hotel for a week after I left, waiting for some hungover worker to do his job. Guest Rob & Jin
News from GUZ The embassy called Jin in response to my emails and faxes, said no problem with visa, delay is due to their visa printer being broken, they told her maybe it will be fixed by next Weds or Thurs, they hope visas from the 22nd will take priority once its fixed- their words, but they just dont know when it will be working, said it will be no longer than 1 month Dont know how this is going to impact those with interviews next week, but I'm sure it will mean a continued delay, just be ready for that. credzba
Dont worry the printer is made in China and parts are only minutes away. Oh no, this is a USA printer, so the parts must ship from China, thru USA, be marked up 300%, THEN shipped back.. one month at least ! Link to comment
Toplaw
Rob, this is insane!! Ping and I can't believe they are putting you and Jin through this misery. We feel very fortunate that it didn't happen to us as well, since the printer allegedly broke shortly after they printed our visas. Hang in there buddy. This too will pass. Link to comment
Sebastian
This is absolutely nuts. The printer broke? I blame toplaw - he had to get 2 visas printed for his family, so that broke the printer. Rob - well hey - at least NOW you can look for the smaller food hawker markets, try some 'import' food from the other provinces, or - if yer feeling sad, hit an IT mall in GZ, have a LONG look without buying.
