  1. Check EMS tracking at about 7:30pm if it doesnt show up there as recieved by the post office then it wont be there the next day. Apparently GUZ sends them to the PO at that time each day so it can be picked up the next
  2. policeman? still on the force?
  3. good i feel less guilty about cutting in front of u guys
  4. We specificly did not want to do that. She might need some of that if you buy a house later or if she keeps bank accounts. If she stays in the retirement program. Many things might require her Hukou. Or it does not work out between you two, her Hukou is a good thing to have for her.. Cool i might get to keep part of the house i built then hehe
  5. My wife told me she read somewhere that b4 she leaves to the US she is required to remove her name from the hukou book. Is that true? Anyone know anything about this?
  6. When i went to pick up my wifes visa today i overheard the worker at the post office tell someone no visas on mondays. what gets delivered on friday gets issued on saturday and what gets delivered on monday will be issued on tuesday. when i tracked my visa it was recieved at the post office after 7pm. I guess all the visas the consulate print on monday will be at the post office after 7pm then ready to be picked up tuesday.
  7. lets just hope they dont get the spare sparts the same way they receive petititions- 3 months waiting in "customs" Dont worry the printer is made in China and parts are only minutes away.

I was wondering if your Lao Po brought the little bundle of joy to the interview !!?? Maybe this is still a part of the 'curse' of those of us who filed in the May, June, July, group last year !!?? Slow NOA-1, even slower NOA-2, slow boat to the NVC, and then wasting away in Guzville for so long waiting for the P-3 !!!??? I think as members, we should get a special ribbon to have attached to our profile page, just like a military service/campaign ribbon !!! Hope both you and Rob, have the visas very soon now !!!!!! Little bundle of joy stayed at home. I had a feeling he would of been a little bundle of punk kid if wife brings him into such a serious enviroment. Wife just brought his US passport and mine in.

  15. Ok this is how it went down. We stayed at Mr. Yangs place, he lived up to his reputation. On the morning of 28th me and the wife headed to the consulate with 3 hours of sleep each. I was gonna bring my son as a visual aid, but decided it was for the better to leave him at home and head to battle with 28 pounds less equipment. Our appointment was for 7:15 am, we got there at 7:00am. I remember reading somewhere that it was useless to go there early just to get in front of the line, what i read was absolutely correct. If i had to do it again, i would hang back at the end where it wasnt as crowded. My wife came out at around 11:00 am just went my anxiety level was about to burst my eyeballs out of thier sockets. She came down with a sad look on her face, which turn to laughter after i smacked her on the back of her head. I knew she was faking it becuase there was no tears, and she usually cries really easily. Her experience at the interview where i wasnt goes as follows; She got her number from the line outside and went upstairs to the consulate. She sat there for a few hours waiting for her name to be called, almost falling asleep. she got called her up to a window and was instructed to open her med packet and signed something. she was asked my name, if she was communist, if she have been married b4, have she been to usa b4, then she recieved a numbered ticket and instructions to get her finger prints then wait til after lunch to continue with the interview. Then she got called to another window to get her fingerprints taken. She sat down expecting to wait until after lunch to finish with the interview, but instead they called her up to another window. In this window the person asked her for her passport and interview apointment letter, my name again, when she met me and how, then asked for pictures and asked her questions reguarding the pictures. She was also asked how many times i returned to visit. The issue of my measily income came into question because i made so many trips to china, but my wife answered that i was leaching off my mom. Then she was handed a pink slip and told shes going to america This is only about 90% accurate interogation and translation of my wifes experience because she was so sleepy and tired b4 the process even began. From what she told me its a pretty strait forward process. Dont think too much ahead of time. Just listen, answer honestly, provide the materials required, do as they instruct and keep ur fingers crossed. Not listening carefully and responding with too much "Huuuh?" will get u yelled at lol Hope this help paint a general picture of what you have to go through for the interview. Good luck to who ever follows and may the force be with you.
