MarsofBorg
Since my wife, Yanfei has not left the states since her arrival and is involved with government or military, passport photos of her are not required with submission of the I-751, correct? That is the way I am reading it on the instructions anyway (below). I am asking because I vaguely recall someone posting that two passport photos are required with the I-751 submission regardless. I tried to locate the post but no luck . Exception: Those who reside overseas pursuant to military or government orders, including conditional resident dependents residing overseas and listed under Part 5 of the form, must submit the following items with Form I-751: 1. Two passport-style photos for applicants and dependents, regardless of age. Link to comment
MarsofBorg
correction in my previous post: Yanfei is NOT involved with the military Link to comment
Phil & Ningning
I would certainly include the photos with the application if you have any question about whether they are required or not. It's cheap insurance and something simply not worth worrying about down the line.I seem to recall submitting them with ours. Not sure. Link to comment
IllinoisDave
As I read it, only those LIVING OVERSEAS are required to submit photos and fingerprint cards. Otherwise you're submitting a COPY of the Green Card and evidence of relationship.Maybe I'm reading it wrong? Link to comment
georgeandli
We're not to the I-751 stage yet, but I'd make sure somewhere in the directions they don't say something about photos being less than 30 days old. I'd assume[stupidly I'm sure] by that point a drivers license, etc copy would be good. Link to comment
amerchin
No photo is required! Copy the front and back of her soon to be expired green card. I also made a copy of her passport and driver license/ID. Two Photos are for the military and people not physically living in the United States at the present time. Link to comment
Randy W
The photo for the green card is taken at the bio-metrics Link to comment
yuehan123
I did submit 2 photos, even though it's not required. I was dreaming that we would go straight to 10 year card and pass biometrics. Wrong. She got photoed and fingerprinted again, anyway. Link to comment
audelair
We opted to follow the directions as accurately as possible and NOT include any photos. We were afraid the existence of photos in the package would mislead them into thinking we were abroad for military reasons. In this case, since the instructions are very clear, I think the safer thing is to NOT include the photos. Link to comment
