sylinchinastill Posted February 18, 2008 Report Share Posted February 18, 2008 Hey everyone- I wanted to let everyone know that we finally cleared the name check (filed AOS in August of 2004- interview in September of '05- we received a temporary green card last week) We had to go to another interview- so if you can avoid that it's great. Also- I thought we should get a permanent green card after waiting so long- we are going to an infopass to find out why we received a temporary card later on this week. But I told my husband, if they say, 'give us the temporary card and we will send a permanent one,' don't let them have it. haha. Hopefully now everyone will start to get out of this mess. Thank god since we have paid someone's salary with EAD and AP money. So now it's almost a normal timeline- I'll take it I guess. Link to comment

Maybe an Infopass will let your field office know you are alive and trigger a response. I'm never going to know if the sending of the affidavit was related to that or just the new policy generated by "the memo".
