congrats - I guess you'll be getting the full 10 year card then?

My wife doesn't want to tell anyone until she sees the card.

I feel a bit of the same.

I have a white board on my fridge documenting our timeline and hope

to update it soon. The first entry was made four years ago.

Just hoping there's something good to come out of the long wait - i.e., not having to remove conditions.

My wife has had her payroll frozen twice because her EAD was about to expire. Just another thing that will go away. B)

Did the Info Pass today.

Not much happened as the IO said our case was pending the security check.

I asked if she saw the "Memo" and she said yes but did not know how it was being implemented. She also said there were cases pending longer than ours and we would need to do another bio.

She then gave us a G-14 to fill out.

Now here's the other twist.

After we got home I checked the mail and there was a letter from the DHS, SF office.

I opened it from the USCIS requesting my wife to fill out an affidavit that was enclosed.

The affidavit asked when we had our interview.

Telephone Number.

Marital Status.

Do we have children?

Have you been arrested, cited, charged, convicted or imprisioned since our last interview?

Have there been any changes to the answers given since our last interview?

What is the address and telephone number of the Petioner.

Swear to God and Country that you are telling the truth and sign here.

Return by March 16, 2008.

Any thoughts? :D

We got our letter today, but no questions. It says "Please come to the shown below at the time and place indicated in connection with an official matter"

Date and Hour: Thursday, March 6, 2008 @ 9:00 AM

ASK FOR: Officer Burnette

REASON FOR APPT: Interview

Bring with you: Your passport and identification

So barely 7 days notice, and all it says is, "Please come"

Hopefully, no more EAD applications!

I guess that's Texas style. :D

Let's hope it's not some kind of trap where they put the cuffs on her, shoot her up with dope and put her on a plane to China. :D

Just kidding; sounds like a positive step.

My SO and I went thru the ringer with the I-751 removal. We had the interview Feb 28th in Newark, NJ. I took bits and pieces Oiginals and copies of all evidence I had as well as some photo's and a few extra things just in case. This wasnt a few minute interview it lasted almost an hour. Asked about pass marraiges, children, Tax records, bank assets, joint responsibilities, asked about travel, do you speak english, chinese Exc exc. Do you drive( I told the interviewer she drives from the passenger side like a back seat driver  .

Passport was stamped with a 1 yr ext for an IR-1 and 10 Yr G/C to follow 2 weeks to 6 month's. They said we did'nt have a bonofied marriage. But that's OK I knew we did just had to show them the evidence. I hope the lady didnt change her mind after we left.

So as the candle tells you save your evidence even Dr receipts and prescription receipts, joint every thing put SO name

on Gas and Electric bills, Phone bills, Tax bills, Medical insurance, Wills, Bank Statements, Checks, Credit Cards, Car Insurance.. be prepared

Right now we will call it when we see it.

Guess I'll spend the weekend sitting on the porch, drinking beer and waiting for the mail. I think I've been doing this since 2004. :)

When I came home from work today there was a Jury Summons

for my wife in the mail box. B)

Wow! How maybe they found out that her green-card is on it's way and wanted to introduce her to one of the most treasured civic duties of living in the states!

This may be her first lesson about the judicial process in the states, and how the judicial branch of the government works.
