On the Road in China...

Also get you one of those old New York cab's. You know the ones that are really tanks made to look like a taxi. :lol:

 

I think I'll switch from the Citroen to a more appropriate and interesting mode of transportation...

I actually owned one of these quite awhile back, and I was not chasing the Grateful Dead around in it!!

 

It would get a lot of looks in China as you park it and camp for the night! :)

Aren't you concerned with hiway bandits and smugglers? :)

 

Nawwww not really Pete... :ph34r: I mean it isn't that lonely out there on China's highways in-between the big cities is it??? B)

Can't we depend on Smokey to rescue us from baddies??? :)

 

I was driven all over Sichuan and the roads are very crowded, even the horrible back roads still have a lot of 4 wheel drives on them. China has many people out driving.

Yes Don I know that well but my point was that Chinese generally do not travel long distances by car, using their auto as a base for their vacations... B)

I guess i was talking about bandits and smugglers. I did not see much of that going on, just lots of people going places. A few hours is consided a long drive to people i have spoken with.
