WAITING ON P4/INTERVIEW DATE

Hi!

Any of you others who filed around March 2007, get your P4 yet?

Or know when your interview date will be? I have called DOS twice.

This waiting is driving me crazy!! I have so many plans to make,

like Im sure all of you do too.....(time off work, tickets, flights, weddings, etc,etc.) Just throwing this out there for some feedback.

Took us a little more than a month P-3 to P-4. I waited the 30 days and then called DOS, the P-4 was sent out about the time I called them.

I'm right there with you. SO sent our P3 paperwork to GUZ overnight on the 30th of August. I have been told by DOS that all is completed and only waiting interview date.

The visa specialist I spoke with today told me that interview dates are usually assigned during the first week of each month.

I'm off from home in two hours in route to my SO and then a short trip to GUZ for ACH on Monday. I will see what I can learn.

I am at 14 hours and counting until I leave for the airport... then the lovely flight to Beijing. Beijing to GUZ...

 

I am just sitting here reading and reading... hope I have all the paper work dot the I's ... cross those T's...

Ron, here's hoping you get that interview date soon.. at least you will be in GUZ in some good months for weather. They are calling for rain and still 95 in GUZ on our interview date...

Hi Ron,

 

I filed on March 7, my SO returned P-3 on August 8, and got P-4 on Sept 13, have an interview date of October 24.

 

This means it was a little bit more than a month from P-3 to P-4 for us. It may be this for you as well. So P-4 will come for your SO next week, I hope!

 

Also, it seems they set interviews for the following month early the month prior. So this means your November interview date will be set in early October. However, there have been cases where people have received as little as 2 weeks notice before their interview. This means you could still get an October date, especially if there are any available slots that were vacated by others.

 

It might be worthwhile to give DOS a call and get the latest update on the status.

I see from your timeline that you did call DOS today. Call again on Monday -- you might see a change. My theory is they only update computers periodically, and the weekends make a good time for them to do this.

I'm with you on this also. See my timeline. I have called DOS every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 2 weeks now and "still waiting on interview date to be assigned". Hang in there. We are all very close. : )

Well, be happy that at least you received your p3 already. I haven't received my p3 yet, although my fiance filed I129f in March! Still no p3! Called DOS and still no news.

It's interesting how some cases flow together all the way thru the

process, and others are all over the place. It makes no sense to me,

but let's all pray we are with our Honeys for Christmas.

I will watch for you guy's to post when you get your P4/Interview Date.

Hi Ron, My case did not follow any type of normal timeline.

 

the interview day assignment came slightly over 1.5 month after returning the P3. The actual P4 took a few more weeks after i learned the date had been set.
