Interview questions asked

Recommended Posts

Ok folks here is a list of the Interview questions the VO ask my wife at the interview today.

Let see if I can do this as I have had a few cold/cool drinks today ok maybe more than a few... but who is counting?

BTW our case was CR1 and it was done in English

Wife, was first to speak. Good Morning Sir

VO Good Morning can you give me a few minutes?

"he was looking at our case on his PC"

We think!. but he could have been reading on CFL

LOL

Wife, ask if she could lay the kitchen sink on the counter and floor as it was about 25lbs of papers

VO, sure

after a few minutes the VO was finished reading our case

VO, passports please

Wife, hands him both our passports with a letter I had

wrote

VO, When did you first meet your husband

Wife, explained three years ago

VO, What is his type of work

Wife, told him I was self employed and explain about my business

VO, Cool

VO, When did husband get divorce

Wife, told him the date I filed and the date is was sign and sealed by the judge in the great Lone Star State.

VO, When did you get divorce

Wife, told him

VO, Why did your husband get divorce from his ex wife

Wife, told him

VO, Why did you get divorce from your ex

Wife, told him

VO, Do you have any photos

Wife, yes do wish to see

VO, Yes

Wife, hands the VO two photo albums

Wife and VO talk about who is who and where each photo

was taken.

VO, finally opens my passport and reads my letter

VO, "trick question" Oh I see you husband has been here since Sept.

Wife, No Sir, he was here in Sept for two week but left for the states and he just return back Dec 7 for the interview.

Sept was the only word my wife couldn't say in English

she told me the word just couldn't come out of her mouth correctly... LOL

VO, IC

Im glad my wife was on her toes and listening very carefully, as it is very loud inside the interview room and hard to hear, she had to ask the VO to repeat a few questions because she couldn't hear him very clearly at times.

VO, ask about the stamps inside her passport

Wife, explains and tells him about other countries she has visited

Wife, is watching the VO as he grabs a PINK Slip and starts writing.

Wife, Thanks him again and again and he is filing out the papers

VO, Happy Holidays

We had the kitchen sink with us but didn't have to show anything other than photo albums and both our passports and a letter I wrote to the VO.

Things inside the kitchen sink

One year of phone records

One year of bank statements from 4 different banks

2 personal and 2 business

P&L for the first 9 months of this year

2 year tax transcripts and last years tax's return

Divorce papers hers and mine in English and Chinese

even had my exs last year tax return...

"damn can't believe she give me a copy of it"

Papers of our home and taxes paid on it last year

Three years of e-mails... some printed others CD

Three years of Chatting history.. some printed and CD

We had a copy of each document I file in the states for our CR1 case

A copy of my life insurance payable to her

credit card statements with flight charges on them

seven different trips in 20 months

You guys/gals going to see the Wizard in the near future, we wish you good luck.

Bring the kitchen sink to help make things easier for your Wife G/F etc...

but be prepared just like a good Boy Scout should be

If your wife G/F cant hear or understand the question

have her ask the VO to repeat it

Nice interview Bobby.

I was laughing at you analogy of the kitchen sink. Yin did the same at her interview, as your wife did. In the end they wanted so very little and really only looked at one or two papers.

I still remember almost 1.5 years ago, that Yin was pissed because the VO didn't really care to look at her photographs, she brought with her. VO may have looked on his PC and realized that Yin had a ugly husband. Can't blame him. Who wants to look at an ugly person? LOL

I was wondering how you got your SO on your life insurance policy. I tried to do this at my company and they said a SS number was required so I couldn't put my SO name on the policy. I am in South Houston near JSC. Thanks.

Bobby,

Thanks for the info. I tried putting in all zero's and it wouldn't take it at work. So guess have to wait until she gets here. I am not sure if CR1 is considered an immigrant but k1 is not considered immigrant and SO only fills out page 1 of the immigrant visa form. Page 2 contains the application for SS number which they can apply while overseas so they will get the number as soon as arrive in U.S. Anyway congradulations and hope to meet you folks here if I am still in Houston.

Congrats Bobby.

Yeah, the kitchen sink approach is always best. As you hear about each interview they only want one or two things, but that always seems to vary. Seems to be based on each case seperately, so it is always better to be prepared for whatever they might want. Bring everything and think pink.

Also, nice post. Great info for those still waiting.

Congratulations Brother Bobby. Great news. From looking at your timeline, this process only took you less than one year... did you go k3?

Sir Charles

Thanks bro for your warm thoughts and wishes

No Sir I only filed for CR1...

about 15 days away from being a year

I dont care how you look at it, Darn thats still one year

good luck my man with your Visa!!

God knows you need a little luck Sir Charles

may Gods speed be with you

This goes to prove first in, is not first out!

For all you other folks out there in CFL wonder land

read Davids FAQ, there is a world of info and this man has

work his butt off to make things go smoothly for others.

Yea maybe some of David words and answers, etc are not so

simple and easy to read and understand.... like for us slower Texicans

LOL

but if I can do it anybody can

My advice is when it comes time go and see the Wizard in GZ, bring

the kitchen sink. If you have thought about it, bring it..

The Wizard could ask for that document...and having it in the states will

not help at this moment in your life.

Good luck to each and everyone of you

God Bless and have a safe and wonderful Chirstmas. Maybe 2007 bring you

much happiness

Bobby/Emma

thanks again to the complete cast and crew of CFL and to a few others

no matter how off the wall them may seem to act.

Hey, Bob, how did your wife remember all the questions so clearly? I have asked my SO to remember the questions so that I can share them here, but I imagine it will all be a blur by the time she gets out.

AFF

Man my wife has a memory better than your PC!!! She never forgets anything

Just ask her she can tell you the time and place and word for word every time

I screwed up and did something wrong.

No for real she was cool at the interview, her being a bussiness woman she

works well under pressure. And me being here help.
