interview details

Recommended Posts

There were about 20 people called up before my wife, she counted 14

blue slips and 6 or 7 pink. when my wife was called, she was greeted

by a "Charming man with big smile". His Chinese was poor so the interview

was done in English and Chinese.

He was flipping through our paperwork when my wife said "good morning",

in English. He asked if my wife speaks English and she said "yes, but you

must talk slow and if I don't understand a question ask me in Chinese and

I will answer you in English", the VO smiled and said ok.

The first 2 questions were, how did you meet and when did you meet, my

wife answered in English, Asiafriendfinder and Jan. of 2005.

He then asked her how we communicate, she replied "we email and talk

on the phone everyday". He then asked to see our emails and when my

wife handed him the folder he smiled again because of the size.

He looked a few of the emails and then asked to see some wedding

photos, he didn't care about any of the others, just wanted to see

the wedding photos. As he was looking through the photos, he asked

for my address and after she answered, he said congratulations, you

pass.

My wife seems to think that the VO had his mind made up on

"pink" or "blue" before the interview and just asked a few questions

to back it up.

Nine days and counting till we together again!! When we are settled,

I'll ask her to post a more detailed account in "Our stories".

I don't know if I would have made it without this site.

Thank you, EVERYONE!!!

Congratulation!!!

You said 14 out 20 were blue. It's about 70%. I read an article in a newspaper last weekend. It was estimated 40% of approval rate for cases in GUZ. These numbers are close.

Well, as long as we prepare all docs and tell the true, we should be just fine.

The count could be off a bit, my wife was a nervous wreck!

Like you just said, have your documents in order and just tell the

truth. Confidence and a big smile while greeting the VO may also

go a long way :roller: !
