A warm "Hello" to everyone. Thanks so much for reading my message.

 

Here's my timeline for a K3 visa:

 

NOA1 (for I130) - 1/8/2003

 

NOA1 (for I129F) - 1/23/2003

NOA2 (for I129F) - 2/10/2003

 

National Visa Center:

Received I129F - 2/17/2003

Forwarded to Guangzhou - 2/24/2003

 

As you can see, things have moved right along. The NVC told me to allow 10 business days before contacting Guangzhou (which was this past Monday, 3/10). I decided to give it one more week. So this coming Monday (3/17) will be three weeks with no word from Guangzhou.

 

Is e-mail the best way to contact Guangzhou?

 

And what's your "best guess" timeline for me from here on out?

 

My approval notice is good until 6/8/2003.

 

Any and all suggestions, comments, advice, etc. you can share with me about Guangzhou will be SO VERY MUCH appreciated.

That sorta looks like our timeline, we got approved in the Beijing INS office in an unbelievavle 5 days time, and then they sent it to Guangzhou. Well that was a year ago now, and many times for Guangzhou to lose our documents in the process.

I also started out in similar fashion - one month from applying my petition was being "Cabled" to GZ- then nothing for almost four months. But hey- who knows, maybe things are getting better or you were born under a lucky star

Unless you live nearby, probably email is the best chance. It seems to be very hard to get through by phone these days. Do not worry about your approval expiring. Most all of them expire before GZ schedules the interview. GZ routinely grants extensions to the approval expiration dates. But go ahead and ask them. It may be a way of getting a response to your email. Combine as many questions as you have into one email. Make your sentences short and simple. The person reading probably does not have that well a grasp of the English language.
