Bringing dog to USA

We have a dog in China and would like to bring him to the US. I don't know if we could make it.

I just checked with Northwest airline. Their max requirement on carry-on pet's weight is 15 lbs. My Schnauzer is almost 20 lbs. I'll worry about him alot if I let him travel with my luggages. Would he be cold to death? And no one feeds him.

Sometimes pets do die on a long airline trip. The odds are good with Northwest that your dog will survive. You should prepare by carefully choosing a carrying case and consulting a vet. Many times they prescribe a tranquillizer. I wouldn't hesitate to try this. Think how happy the pooch will be when he sees you again. And no adjustment of status ....

A friend told me he has brought several dogs from Yun Nan to San Francisco. He said the dog needs to get an immune shot and the paper.
