SO Back to China

Wow, what a roller coaster ride. After a 1 year of waiting, (we have been together 3 years) my SO arrived at the Newark airport March 15th. It was a happy drive back to Baltimore. Yesterday, we went to Ocean City, MD and I bought her a beautiful diamond ring. We are planning to marry next month. Then, she contacts her Dad back in Shenzhen and he is experiencing chest pains / ankle swelling. He is too poor to go to the hospital. Fearing heart attack, my SO disparately wants to she her Dad, so we booked the next available round trip flight to Hong Kong. She is flying as I write to “HELP” letter. At the airport, we both broke down in tears. In fact, airport security offered to take us to the 1st aid room. We checked with immigration at the airport, but they said there was nothing they could do and recommended we contact USCIS. HELP!

Oh, sorry. We still wish to marry asap (after my SO sees her Dad and ensures he is ok). So, she will need another entry visa or something? I booked her return flight for JUNE 6, but she can return sooner. She just wanted to see her Dad asap.

Yes, we did not marry yet. She just got here. Figured we had some time...

Wait, wait. I'll dig up the link and post it in a minute or two, but if the K-1 hasn't expired and you haven't yet married, the consulate should be able to re-validate the K-1 visa so that she can return to the US without AP.

Two things come to mind if this is still policy. She should contact the consulate immediately or, better still, contact king and let him contact the consulate on her behalf.

Her Visa Expires JUNE 06, 2006 and the 90 day grace period (after she entered the US March 15, 2006) expires June 15. According to the link, if she returns mid MAY, we still have a chance to marry by the end of May. So, my SO needs to contact the consulate in China. These guys are hard to talk to. How do you recommend my SO contact them?
