LiandLarry
First, thanks for the good words on Li and I leaving NVC. We have a K-1: When a K-1 leaves USCIS (CSC for us) it goes to NVC for a namecheck and then to GUZ. When a K-3 leaves USCIS it goes to GUZ directly and then a namecheck is done? I am wondering if we will have to go through another name check when our case arrives at GUZ. I don't want to have to go through another namecheck and I am not sure if we have to or not. I am not that knowledgable about the procedures in these cases. Thanks, Larry Edited December 8, 2005 by LiandLarry (see edit history) Link to comment
jxty
K-3 also go through NVC for namecheck, and I think they will do another namecheck at GUZ. Link to comment
Trigg
Thats the magic question--is there a second name check?? I know in December of 2003 UCIS said that to save time all name checks would be done before the petition gets to the consulate. I'm pretty sure that if any of you call GZ a week or so after you send in the p3, you will get the message "in Que for interview-blah blah blah. Lots of talk on this one but I'm thinking that they don't do a second security check as S. O. P. perhaps if there is a red flag. K1 will not cause more scrutiny that K3--Several have reported that perhaps the K3 gets more scrutiny than K1. Link to comment
ckhang
Not related to K1 & K3 but GZ did have a name check for my CR1....now waiting for P4 and interview. Link to comment
david_dawei
My impression was that a second name check was S.O.P.. but not sure if there is anything that the data can really tell us by visa type... would need to hear from nooneufo on this... Link to comment
