Eight Words

Last night my wife was telling me about her Eight Words. I guess these are like horoscopes as they are based on the birth date.

Anyway, she had them read two times by different readers. The first when she was 22 told her that she would be "going across the ocean". The second time when she was 28, a different reader told her that "she would cross the ocean when she was over 30."

Well, she was 31 when she reached our shores.

 

Anyone else have experience with this?

My SO is 'into' readings as well... when I visited the first time, she told me (through translators and later in email) that we were matched very well ... I suspect I'll get the "nothing" comment when I ask, but I see if she acknowleges the 'eight words'... anything more you can give on this ?

I wonder if this has any connection with the Ba Gua of Taoism which is used for fortune telling too.

I never heard of "the eight words" before. Lao Po likes that stuff, but believes in it with a grain of salt. I would have to say the weirdest way I have ever seen anybody read a fortune was when I was in France. It was closing time and the owner of the Indian style restaurant I was in poured a cup of expresso. Then he put a little cream in the coffee. as the cream was floating back to the top he started to read my fortune. Now that's freakin' weird. He didn't say anything about me falling in love with a woman from China. Don't think anyone could ahve predicted that one.

My experience:

1. When little, told I would be emperor one day. Tried a uprising when young, did not work, almost shot.

Scaled back ambitions and tried to convince by ex and wife that an emperor is entitled to at least two wives. Did not work, woke up once choking with a electrical wire arround my neck.

2. Saw a guy, in S.F.

He predicted some one would try to buy my wife (then GF)'s store within a week and closing within a month when the lease for the store is on a month to month basis. Both happened, against all reason.

Same guy stated my wife would lose her son: She freaked out about her son but it did not happen. She did have a miscarriage a few month later but was not yet pregnant when she had the reading.

3. Say him again in SF

He predicted I would have a hard time for a year or two but would become rich in 3-4 years time. I lost my job in New York and decided to follow his advice to move to Hong Kong. Waiting to see how things go over the next year or two.

 

Conclusion: it may work or may not. Best thing is not to follow the advice. I almost got killed, twice.

I don't think the readings should affect your life, just give a little insight into what is in store for you.

What emporer would only have 2 wives!!!

 

The eight words come from the two symbols for each - year, month, day and time of birth.

I think that the reading assumes that during your life, your mind, body, and spirit, follow the way of the east.. subtract 15 years for each part which does not

When we met, my wife told me she liked middle aged men - so I have to live to 120.
