That can happen anywhere. You wouldn't say that if you've seen what the help does in the kitchen or even the walk in cooler. If you are worried about that either train her in martial arts or keep her at home. Fast food is a hard job for the money and lacks the tips a waitress gets.

Your missing the point Dan, If your wifes english is good enough to waitress then there are probably other better paying jobs. But if english skills are limited then Ronalds place isn't that bad, it will increase her english skills and give here a feeling of contributing.

Having lived in Reno, NV for 7 years and worked at the Reno Hilton for 3, I can say that working for a casino is not one of the most desirable jobs. You are completely at the whim of your boss and all of management.

During slow times, they may tell you take a week or two off without pay.

You will work nights and every weekend for years until you have seniority.

Your every single move is scrutinized on camera and one screw up and you get fired or demoted to kitchen help.

Your starting shift will probably be 6PM to 2AM.

Being an Asian dealer does have special perks and advantages, and you can make a LOT of money in tips when you are deaing to a $10 or $20 a hand table. But to do this, you have to either be extremely knowledgable about all of the table games or go to a dealers school.

If you are not a dealer, your starting pay will be close to minimum wage.

I can also concur with the propensity of Asians and gambling. Our last day in Las Vegas, Amy got glued to a poker machine and that was it.

One the other hand, she did get a sequential royal flush in spades!!!!!! I did take a picture of it as I knew I would probably not see another one in my lifetime!!!! :D

Reno 911....!!!

That show rocks.

What she decides to do will be up to both of your attitudes. Communication is a foundation for relationships. You may want to consider having her take some ESL -english as a second language classes before you throw her out in the forest with all the bears with no way to tell them to go away.

you don't really want your wife to be a whopper flopper...??

My wife is looking at the Post Office and should be taking the Civil Service Exam in a few weeks

After losing my software job, I took the postal exam two years ago. Make sure she reads the postal exam practice guide at the library (or at a book store). The postal exam has 4 or 5 parts. The memorization part of the exam is the toughest.

Most of the openings are for carriers since most people don't want to do it. I was only interested in working inside. Working at postal jobs are too repetitive. That is why so many postal workers go postal. However, the pay is good and the benefits are excellent.

The SO has to start somewhere. Getting some experience is very important.

We were very lucky that Wei was offered a transfer, but I've approached the topic all along that I do not want her to feel the pressure of being forced to work. I also want her to do what she wants, even if it means having her go to a school or training for an opportunity she may not have had at home.
