  1. Thank you guy's very much for the kind words. Here CFL is like a family to me, and it will always be. Don, my visa type is E-32, which is employment based case, just like Hope's. Thanks again for all the supports and encouragement. Best wishes to all. Ju
  2. Hi all: After 8 months waiting for name check (My wife and I passed our interview on Dec 30th last year), we finally got our visa last Friday. And we came back at POE SFO this afternoon. After we got our passport stamped and boarded next flight, we suddenly recalled a little detail starting worry us: when the Immigration officer processed our IV package, she only scaned my passport, but didn't scaned my wife's passport. Although we did see she stamped every paper include IV itself and fingerprint card, we still kind worried that this passprot scan business have some significiant meaning. I would really appreciate any input and advice on this issue. Also if anybody has contact info about SFO POE, so I can give them a call to straight this worry out. Thank you for you kind help. Ju
  3. First, peace.... Second, don't be so easy to be stuned. The intent for K-1 visa is for couples to spend time together in US so they can decide to pursue marriage or not. If the couple decide to enter the next phase, then they need get married and then file AOS. That is where immigration comes in. You asked other to lose the tone. But maybe... you are a little bit over-reacted? Just a thought.
  4. I like to provide some information to clear this NIV or IV confusion: K-1 visa is not immigration visa, this is fact, by law. And its intent is not to immigrate either. The purpose of K-1 visa is for humane reason expressed in Life Act. There are several dual-intent visa categories exist in INS(BCIS) regualtion. They are no doubt NIVs, even with vague intention to immigrate. God bless and peace to everybody. Ju
  5. Congratulations. And god bless... Also, thank you AS, you are a wonderful human being....
  6. The site name is candle for love... I am suprised today to read this post. Seriously, there are some girls just try to get to US through marriage. But for you to make fun from other people's photos, it is not funny. It is not about people's future wives can read responses. It is that your post have no value to this board. By posting this, you didn't share, contribute or offer help to the community. This is your first post. You probably missed the main page of this site. Go read it first!
  7. Hi Argle: Thanks a lot for the info. And big congratulation to you.... Best regards. Ju
  8. Hi Argle: Did DOS ever tell you that FBI put you on hold? Just want to get some hope for the "oh hold " people... Thanks. Ju
  9. I am a very gullible person in general. So I intend to believe people's story. Especially the story is sort of wierd. For me, it is just too much work to make something that strange up. And I second tonyuab's explaination on 2003 case number. It could be the girl just very lucky. (oh, wrong word, dealing with this visa mess is not near the definition of lucky) God bless everybody. Peace.
  10. Hi Christy: CA got clearence first then send it to GZ, GZ input it into computer then it will show up on DOS info line's computer screen. So the sequence will be: FBI->CA->GZ->DOS inforline. Ju
  11. I has been part of this big family for too long, from G7 period to CFL, from original "black hole" movement to this new "on hold gang". I still remembered when we started the campaign for the very first time, DOS/CA was giving back almost exactly same answers as now, "it is in other agency's hand, we don't have any more information" We just kept the pressure, sent letters to ColinP, GWB, GAO, and DOS/CA. After couple months, we got the thing moving... Now, we have far more fewer people left. So DOS/CA readily claim the issue get solved. That is why I think our campaign should focus on DOS/CA for one more time. We should start write to COlinP, GAO, Congressman, Senator, and MH. We should let them know the problem is not solved, no matter what DOS/CA claims to be. They need get their act together. It really doesn't matter who holds our case, it is CA's primary responsibility to get our visa issued. They are responsible for our problem. Any feedback?
  12. Hi Christy: How's your FBI knocking goes?
  13. Can I ask people from CP EB group to sign the letter? There are few people in black hole there too. Thanks....
  14. good catch! what can i say, english is hard.
  15. The DOJ is not paying people 60 to 75K to do security chiecks. These are farmed out to private contractors the same as mail room employees at BCIS. If you and yours were in the FBI puter, any office could check on status for any reason. That is true, they supposely could do that from any office. But in the case of this mess, I am pretty sure even the most knowledgable person in the FBI phone answering office would not even know there is a "name check" going on. From what I experienced, the only thing they know about visa and immigration is finger print.
  16. According to my limited knowledge: 1. The FBI info line we were calling on is for checking the status for finger print check - you will encounter this when you go through AOS. That is why our information did show up in their system. We are NOT in the finger print checking system. 2. It is the FBI put hold on us on hold people. Congressman, KC, AS all confirmed it. 3. Apparently, DOS/CA knows which department inside FBI handles this mess. CA people mentioned that they are in process contacting FBI. We just can not get them to tell us which department is that. If somehow, your letter can get this info from DOS, that will be really great. Then we can mobilize congressman to help us attack the stronghold. Heck, if we can find this info by any means, that will be great too. 4. For our on hold people, DOS/CA is not really the bad guy, they may be on our side for once. (Sorry, i don't know what I am talking about anymore.)
  17. Hi Guys: Just can't help to say thanks to you all.... Family, here is.
  18. PJ, great ideas. Let's get a list of on hold people, so we can have a combat plan. For me: Ju Zhang P3 reach GUZ: sept 1st, 2002 Interview passed: dec 30th, 2002 On hold by FBI. All on hold people, please reply to this thread.
  19. The president campaign site for John Kerry is: www.johnkerry.com There is a donation form too.
  20. His oppinion on immigration seems OK to me, and he is gearing up for 2004 election so need some positive media coverage, right? If we start to write to him... What's your thought?
  21. I wrote to MH couple times, and they don't even bother to reply to me anymore lately. I did talk to AS weeks ago. He is very nice person, and sympthetic to us. He did say there almost nothing they can do now though. I guess after FBI put us on hold, that is it for DOS. They don't know waht to do and don't have any incentive to do anything either. Calling FBI seems no use either, unless we can find some insider phone numbers. The only benefit from keep calling DOS is that maybe when they got annoying enough they will start complaining to FBI.
  22. Christy: Your effort is a big inspiration. I will start to do the same thing you did tommorow. Looks like you really start bring the forum back to full speed here. Thank you. Ju
  23. Wow, everybody. Now it is great to see the forum back to full speed again. Can we do some demonstration in front of FBI/DOS office? I mean peacefully of course :-) Like 5 - 6 people showed up for hald a day or so? Just a wild thought.
