  1. Rog. You were instrumental at a critical phase of things. Thank you doesn't begin to do justice for my appreciation of your help in the middle of the night awhile back. I wish you and your family all the best. Marc
  2. The indignity of your story leaves me speechless. While I'm one of the lucky ones...that's just it, I'm lucky. Period. I understood going into the interview there was no reason (based on the bureautechnofuknicextravaganzalogic in GZH) for me not to get Pink, Blue or even White. It was a crapshoot in my mind all the way thru this agonizing ordeal. I get that GZH VO's have their reasons (which all any of us can do is speculate over with as much reason as we can muster). With no accountability and no legal recourse for us, each VO can operate recklessly if they happen to feel like it on any particular day for any reason. There is simply no objective standards that are followed in GZH, nor are the VO's trained and educated in assessing character. Homer, just give them what they're asking for and hope and pray for a good outcome. Had I been in your shoes recently, I'm not sure I would be handling things as well as you are holding up. You have a right to be pissed senseless. Try to take care of yourself as much as possible during this period of purgatory. Homer and Nate...As my fiancee once said..."await interview is easy, one day is one day. Have blue slip, one day is one year." My hope and prayer for both you and your ladies is you get a speedy and successful overcome. tsap seui I 'm still in a state of shock and denial and very often, anger. I'm not sure how I will be able to focus on work tomorrow especially when I have to repeat the same story to my co-workers about 50 times as many are curious about when they will be able to meet my wife. All possible documents Guangzhou might ask were provided to my wife, yet nothing was fvcking asked for except for Pictures and Financial Documents. I have even put my wife on my Company's health insurance plan and have been paying an extra $100 a month so she would be covered...if...when ...she gets here. She is the only beneficiary of a $1 million insurance policy I have at work. 5 Fvcking trips, every trip that was well over 2 weeks stay except for a week trip in Shanghai and yet, my marriage is a fvcking fraud according to the visa officer. Any of the possible visa fraud case "red flags" don't apply to us because 1.) We have never been married. We have no children. First marriage for the 2 of us. 2.) Marriage for financial gain can be ruled out because I have a nice sizable 401k/IRA that my wife is a beneficiary of. My income is well above the poverty level and I have been employed at the same Bank for the past 7 years. So what the fvck is their problem? Blue slips asked for the following: a.) Why did your husband(me) come to China to marry? b.) Does your husband have family in China? c.) Please have your husband state how many trips he made and how you spent time together. We were also asked on the attached pink sheet for 2 statements on the checkbox: 1.) Statements- Letter of Evolutionship 2.) Statements - Number of Trips and how we spent time together. WHY THE HELL DIDN'T VO ask for this information at the interview?? I prepared a Letter of Evolutionship for my wife to take to the interview, yet, the VO never asked for this at the time of the interview. My wife had my original passport, copy of Hotel receipts, airline stubs from 5 trips, etc all with her but never asked for. And why the hell are they asking me if I have family in China? My wife filled out the Family Composition Sheet on her family side and my family side and it clearly shows that both my parents and my 4 siblings have been living in the USA since 1979! These guys have a fvcking nice gigs. They play with people's life and we have no recourse against them. I would be fired from my position if I play this game at work.
  3. Ken, as long as I'm going, I choose death by marriage. We leave the killing of us to our wives for when they get here.
  4. Yup. The wait is (n't) killing me (anymore).
  5. Thanks for sharing the details so quickly and a BIG CONGRATS to you both. Now the celebrating can begin !!!!!!!
  6. Hi ALL. The visa is now literally in our hands, and this is the the end of this particular chapter for us. We will be together soon to start our life together on a non virtual basis. Words can't begin to express the feeling of finally having the visa in hand and being able to take the next step together. I will have all the details posted tomorrow night regarding the specifics of the interview. I want to take this opportunity to thank the entire CFL community for helping me get thru this crucible. For the past 8 months, I feel like I've lived here on CFL. There are several people here, and you know who you are, who have been especially supportive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your friendship, advice, PMs, middle of the night conversations and kind words at critical junctures. And a BIG Thank You also to everyone here who posted. Reading your posts every day gave me hope, insight, knowledge, support, guidance, encouragement and just the right amount of anxiety to push me into doing something more to better prepare us for this part of the visa journey. You have no idea how much I benefited from reading your posts. The Waiting is over now. Big exhale, Ah..........

  14. TS I wish you godspeed in taking this "gift to its fullest and most loving limits". Show GZH and the rest of us what it means to love to the limit. Be a testimony to the power of love to transform. You have showed us already what perseverance in love looks like. And if thats not what the heart of marriage is about, then I don't know what enduring love is. Your devotion to your SO is a gift for all of us. Thank you for that. Marc Wow Ron, with those few sentences you've said some pretty powerful words. Your words, with their infinite, and timeless, truth and message in them, have given me a reinforcement that is so nice to hear from another as it is the same endlessly looped message that plays in my mind and keeps me from falling into the senseless and totally useless trap of a bitter and angry man. Thanks. That dear lil' rabbit and I have had our love and relationship put to the extreme test of fire, yet, here we stand holding hands from afar, unscathed by a scorch mark on either of us. I don't pretend to understand any of this but I do know that it has shown us clearly our commitment to each other. We've been given a strength and a bond that will help our love and relationship last forever. With a tear in my eye and a smile on my face, I guess I could humbly say...we've been given a gift. It is now up to us to take this gift to it's fullest and most loving limits. tsap seui
  15. I wish you and yours all the best !!!
  16. Congrats on the PINK and thank you for posting this.
  17. Wow is right !!! Congrats to you and your fiancee. I think you now have the record for the fastest K1 sent to P3...not even 3 months. At this rate, since you've already sent in the P3, you should be about done in 2 months from now. This is completely unheard of, and a blessing I really hope you appreciate. Many of us here waited 5 months or more just for P2, so you are a very fortunate person. Best of luck to you !!
  18. Ronny You and I have talked some on the phone, and I recognize you truly have been broken hearted in all ways figurative and literal. I use your story in my life to remind me of how unpredictable life can be, that the best made plans can go south faster then I can write this word; to remind myself that power can and often does corrupt, and to remember how very little control I have over the outcome of my labor. I use your story to understand that I could just as easily be in your shoes too. I GET that I might actually be in your shoes within the year, and that if I'm not it's simply luck and good fortune and nothing more. Oh, I gotta go...online date with my sweetie. More later. Marc

  22. My SO has asked me to provide the same thing to her, for her interview. She is part of a group of 001 women who reside in Shanghai. My SO told me that the VO's have recently been asking for family and friends of the beneficiary to each write a letter to verify that the relationship is bonafide. Thats exactly what I'm doing.
  23. Our P3 took two weeks exactly to arrive, from the time DOS said our P3 was sent out. Others have never got the Actual P3...just make sure they have the right address, but I'm not sure that really matters either. I believe you can get all you need from the DOS, even if an actual P3 or P4 never comes (I think). As far as the "eligible for interview-P3.5" status, ours took 10 days from the day GZH received the P3. Others have been longer, some shorter. No one knows WTF is going on with GZH. There is just so much speculation. Every time someone thinks they have a handle on the infamous "GZH Process", some mysterious thing happens that leaves everyone shaking their heads in disbelief. I anticipate and expect very little...and while hopeful about things happening there in some linear fashion, I also know that I could experience some seemingly random act that makes no sense at all.
  24. OK. I've got the solution for you. File your tax return showing whatever income you decide. To do this, back out your deductions so that your income shows way above the poverty line. Then, file an amended return a bit later...like after your SO gets the pink. Its perfectly legal to do this...people do it all the time. Nuff said.
  25. Dale I had the same terror yesterday when at my accountants office I learned that my AGI was just above the poverty line (line 37), and my business income was well above the poverty line (line 12). Of course this was after nearly 100K in deductions for all variety of things. I completely freaked out before I learned that the AGI (line 37 on form 1040) is used on 1040EZ and that for form 1040 the VO is looking at Line 12. I realized that I'm above the poverty line for 2 people for the AGI, but just barely. I decided that I would send my SO a year end financial statement from my bank, recent bank statements from all bank accounts, an asset report with supporting documents and copies of property deeds. I am worried about this, like you. If your line 12 is below the poverty line (and at 0 dollars it is indeed), you will need to send alot of supporting documents to explain why you're not living in a cardboard box on welfare. If you put your schedule C first, as someone here has suggested, then the VO will see real income on line 1, part 1. That number, if large, might offset the line 12/37 problem that you have. Good luck. I think I'm in almost the same boat as you here. I would include the income statement. I'm also a believer in paperwork in a situation like this. Any paperwork you can add to the pile - mortgage statements, brokerage statements, homeowners tax statements - to add to an impression of wealth - I believe will help your case. But others will tell you that you might open doors for the VO to demand more information. I believe that any door opened which can be easily closed will gain MANY points - and side-track his scrutiny.
