  1. Hi, Everyone, I have submitted the AOS and Support documents for DS-260 via email. I am preparing to send the original documents to my wife. I have one question, for Guangzhou interview, my wife only need to bring all the original documents submitted this time for AOS and DS-260. We don't need all the original document we submitted in our I-130 process, right? Can any friend on the board confirm one way or the other? Thank you and have a nice weekend! Bill

  3. Thanks for the information about the email size limit. If the email exceed the limit, will you receive an auto reply notice?
  4. Hi, Everyone, Sorry keep asking silly questions, I just thought about this. For AOS, the scan file for this years tax return alone is already pretty big 18MB. If I attached other 1099s, the whole email will be even bigger. Do they require to submit all AOS document in one email? If so, is there limits for the email size? Thanks!
  5. Just a follow up question. No state tax return needed, right?
  6. Hi, Everyone. I am preparing my AOS efiles, since it is looking close to me for my over 4 weeks wait for the electronic processing conversion. I have one question here, since I filed this year's tax return. The tax transcript is still not available. If I submit the scan of this year's federal tax return, do I need to attach the W2 and other 1099s like the interest 1099 or the mortgage 1099? What about the state return, do I need to submit that? Thanks in advance!
  7. I am still waiting for the electronic processing conversion. I sent on April 4th, it is my 4th week now. I called yesterday, They are reading the 3/30 now. Looks like at least another week, One question regarding the electronic submission of AOS and VI: Do I still need to insert the cover letter as the first page of every PDF file?
  8. Seven days in the customs is not unreasonable to me. Saw it on VJ posting. Historically customs tended to delay 2 to 3 months, 1 week is unheard of. J & W on this Timeline is typical of snail mail processing --> J&W Timeline The others are very typical of eProcess. I heard you, I am just stating an opinion based on current personal experience. How accurate is it? Only NVC knows. The funny thing is when I check the VJ site, most people posting there got relative quick response. Every time I filed for something, it always turned out very slow. At lease now I have several people responded here got the similar experience. I am wondering if the race is a factor here. It is approaching my third week now. Wish I will hear something this week from them. Thanks for everyone who responded here. That gave me some encouragement finding I am not alone struggling here.
  9. The electronicnvc is so backed up. It is minimum 20 days for the GZO and then your pdf stuck in the queue for another 20+ days to get read. I am not even sure how their server can keep all the 10MG files for that LONG and not effued up. Mine has been with NVC since January. If the electronic processing is so backed up, will the normal mail be quicker? I called NVC again yesterday. They told me the same thing, they are still processing the emails received in March. I noticed there are a lot of people online tracking showing they received response from NVC within a week. It is funny, every time when we filed something it becomes backed up. It has been two weeks since I submitted the Electronic Processing email request. If it will take a month for them to convert. It will take another month if we are lucky to complete in NVC.The electronicing is a joke. For a government being so inefficient, are we still wondering why US is in descent?
  10. So to avoid having to apply for Chinese visa and the fees, you rather your daughter not having an US citizenship? Really? Did you think this through? What happened to her children what she is old enough to have them and having trouble breathing or clean water becomes a luxury? Huh? It turns out there is no option whether she can maintain the Chinese citizen or not. She will be a US citizen. Regarding the pollution in China, every country going through the industrialization goes through the same situation. L.A in 50-70 was not any better than big cities in China now. The centralized government in China has more political power to deal with pollution than the US Federal government due to their system. However it will take decades if not century to clean it up. That is one of the reason I want my family come over to US. There is no perfect place to live. While we don't need to worry about the food poisoning or the dirty air here, i do pray we will never hear on the news about shooting incident in our child's school. The dirty air will kill you slowly however the bullet can do that much quicker. I am not sure if we really made a good decision for our innocent child.
  11. One question regarding the DS-260 timing, since we are still waiting for the electronic processing conversion: I have already paid the AOS fee and both case IV fees. We have been given the DS-260 online access to fill out the information. In your opinion, should we wait till the case number converted then submit the DS-260 or we can go ahead to submit the DS-260 now, it won't mess the things up? Thanks
  12. I guess that is my only option right now. Hopefully I will hear back from them soon.
  13. Dan, I am using the correct email address and format as well. I re-send the Enrollment email once yesterday and once today. Still no auto reply. I called NVC again this morning was told "auto reply" emails do not always send out. However there is no way to verify the conversion process.
  14. Randy, Your description of the wait time was my original thought. However, I called twice today to NVC and was told by two different people that I should receive an automatic email reply for each case indicate the reception of the case. However when I push them about the content of that email. They have no clue. Simply ask me if I didn't receive the auto-reply, Try to send the request in again, I resent the requests again, still have not receive the auto-reply. I asked them what if I still do not receive the auto reply, They said, just send in via mail I really doubt they know whether or not should be an auto reply. However, I am desperate that there is no way to verify whether they have received my request and processing it or there is an issue of the system. Since the opt-in is only for Chinese IV. I don't think that should be that many. Any one here can advise me on this subject how should I response? Thanks!
  15. Hi, Everyone, I sent my electronic enrollment email a week ago. I have so far heard nothing back from NVC regarding the case conversion. I called the NVC, The lady who took the call said she has no way to check if they are processing it or not. She also said I should receive an email confirmation of the receipting of my request right after I sent the email. She asked me to send in emails again, which I did, I still not seeing any email confirmation from NVC. Any of you knows whether or not should I receive a confirmation email right away? If so, what did I do wrong. How can I check with NVC? Thanks for the help!
  16. Randy, Really appreciate the confirmation! I will go ahead and answer "yes" here.
  17. Hi, everyone on this board. I am working on the DS-260 application. I need some of your helps: There is a question in the "Medical and Health" section: Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law? I know when my wife and daughter receive the interview notification, they will take the health exam as well as have the vaccinations with a letter from USCIS approved centers. However, we don't have those document now. Will I need to submit these via the e-filing now if I answer "yes" here. If answer "yes" here only means they need to bring the approve of the vaccination for the interview, please let me know. Thank you!
  18. I just paid the IV fee and have not yet received further instruction for DS-260. However I am preparing the documents for DS-260. One question; I know the police certificate has a shelf time. Is this the right time now for my wife to get the police certificate? Thanks in advance! Bill
  19. Morning All, An update to share with everyone here. I contacted NVC this morning. Here are their answers; 1. There will be two cases. 2. I-864W has to be submitted for my daughter (mandatory) , which means my daughter becomes US citizen upon entry is mandatory not optional. Hope this information will help others. Thank you all for providing your help to me!
  20. Thanks Dan and Randy for answering my questions. May need to bother you guys in my next step.
  21. Randy, The only reason to travel under a Chinese passport is I am expecting she will be back and forth frequently. Using Chinese passport we don't need to worry about visa to China.
