  1. are you saying the IV interview is on the first floor? the ACS is on the second floor? Are they using 2 separate security checks? no way to go to the IV interview area for a U.S. citizen? Thanks.
  2. Very helpful information. Looks like it is a very nice facility.
  3. Sure, I will report back if I can find out. My trip to there will be around September or later this year.
  4. Does anybody know how far it is from the Citizen services area to the IV interview area? is the Citizen services area and the IV interview area on the same floor? Thanks, Sunny
  5. Can anybody tell me: 1, when our case is in AP, who is managing our case? Is the officer who conducted the visa interview managing the case or the case will be sent to a particular team to manage all the cases in AP status? 2, who is answering our email inquiry when we send the inquiry by using the Consulate's web form? Thanks, Sunny
  6. I received a reply from the Consulate, it said: ************* Thank you for your email. We understand that it has taken longer time than usual for the applicant to pick up the visa, and we apologize for it. However, there is still more administrative processing to be done for the case. One of our officers is working on the case and will process it to completion as soon as we can. Once it is completed, we will immediately inform you of the result. Please be assured that the case has been given full and fair consideration under U.S. immigration law. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this moment. ************** Anybody got the same reply for your case in AP? Thanks, Sunny
  7. I like Scovitz's idea to sue the government as a group. My friends also suggested to talk to the news reporters. I am working on that now. If you have a friend who is a news reporter for a newspaper, CNN, CBS, or whatever media, we should talk to them and let the public knew how our own government is doing to its citizen. Our immigration attorney also suggested to do so. Media is a powerful tool. Please email me if you like my idea. The purpose of an IV should be re-unite family. We do not know what's happening with the Consulate in Guangzhou. It is a huge black hole.
  8. after re-affirmed the approval by uscis, whats next? I was told the case will be sent back to the Dept. of State and then Guangzhou. 1, how long this will need? 2, does the child need to go to Guangzhou for a interview (the child was interviewed earlier this year)? 3, if not, should we just mail the passport for the visa? 4, if yes, I guess it should be easier for the hcild to get the visa than first time? 5, do you think we should contact Mr. Marc Ellis for help with the guangzhou interview? Thanks for your input, Sunny
  9. Thank you all for the advice. I contacted them and will work with them. The case is with USCIS now. USCIS just told me the case was returned and will contact me if anything else is needed.
  10. I was informed that the case was returned to USCIS on 6/26/2012. Do you know when I should get the mail from USCIS asking me to submit more information or document? is there a timeframe for USCIS to review the case and contact me?
  11. the child said the Consulate Officer is friendly. I asked them to keep the case at the Consulate so I can find out what happened with the Civil Affair Officer. I am not sure if the Consulate will keep the case for any longer. I think the Consulate Officer should give me a chance to explain and work on this as I am their fellow U.S. Citizen. Our right and benefit should be protected by our own oversea Consulate.
