  1. Francine, NVC mailing date of August 8th is in delay as were previous mails and mails to come, I am sure. It is the consulate's new routine. GZ will have no info for you until this mail is delivered and then 2-3 additional weeks after that for GZ to enter it into their system. Keep this airbill number and track the shipment's status. You can expect as much as a 2 month delay. DHL website.... http://www.dhl-usa.com/ airbill- 9435275920 %%- Good Luck
  2. Maybe you will find this interesting: 38 parcels picked up at Manchester, NH by DHL on Friday, 07-18, weighing in from 8Kg to 115Kg, sent to Guangzhou and all held by CAN customs as of date of this posting. This was the earliest pick-up after your mailing date of Wednesday, 07-16. You may want to research it further but you can bet that that is where it is. Welcome to the club. DHL airbill-9425761516
  3. GZ's reply sounds more realistic then the 10 to 15 days NVC said but in this process, who knows? shortly after I received P2, I called NVC and the lady said I will be receiving a letter in a week. Needless to say, I saw no such letter. There was a thread about "babies in china" posted here by robhon a few weeks ago. If you haven't already seen it, then maybe you can find some useful info in it. %%- Good Luck
  4. We have a different GUZ number for the I-130. Thats 3 different GUZ numbers we have had!
  5. Got a letter in the mail today from NVC concerning the I-130. Enclosed was the Affidavit of Support (I-864) Processing Fee Bill. This bill has the GUZ number and CR1 at the bottom of the page along with a barcode. I must send that back to NVC in St. Louis, MO with a $65 fee. NVC says once the receive the bill and fee payment, they will send out the I-864 forms and instructions. Just thought I share that little bit of info with the board. Yep, chipping away at it!(the process)...lol B) Hmm...maybe a visa will be ready for us soon. CR1 before K3?...nothing ceases to amaze me here!(the process)
  6. finenn, that is a good question. I dont know your situation but China request documents from an American citizen to marry a Chinese citizen. They want any divorce cert. and a single status cert. among other documents/cert. All these papers has to be notarized/authenticated on the local, state, and federal level and finally, authenticated by the Chinese embassy in Wash. D.C., all sporting "seals of approval." Then, in China, the papers need to be translated and presented to the marriage office. This is all mandatory stateside. Abroad, it may be different, depending. Secondly, why complicate things? If you have K1 visa then why not follow through with the K1 procedure? Just my thoughts, -Good luck and happy trails
  7. Bob, Keep in touch with NVC until they can give you a mailing date. That will be the only useful information you can get from them. With a mailing date, you can then track it via DHL Express. finenn, 05-09, 05-22, 06-12, 06-27, 07-08 delayed mail has been delivered to the consulate and P3's are coming out. I have found out two different reasons for the delays coming from two different sources, GZ consulate and DHL. I lean towards DHL explanation of it more than the consulate since I have a letter from DHL. Who to believe, huh?...lol. GZ said it was no delay, only normal business. DHL's letter apologizes for the delays. But facts are facts and for Bob......you need that mailing date from NVC. -Good Luck
  8. I filed k3/4 petition. The A-number showed up on the I-797C approval by BCIS of the I-129f(2nd NOA). It is also on the I-797C approval by BCIS of the I-130. Just a sidenote: I find it curious that GZ changed the GUZ number after acknowledging receipt of the petition. Is this normal procedure?
  9. Heck of a story, Mick. WoW! something to definitely reflect upon! I am glad that it is all behind you two, at least that part!...lol. Good luck on all your future endeavors and thanks for the encouraging words.
  10. Thanks Don, Your good work, as usual, is appreciated.
  11. Hi whoever, I remember you being one of the May 9th victims as I was. My qizi got her P3 last week. As I said 3 weeks ago, P3's will be flying off the shelves, and so they are from what I hear. E-mail GZ again on Friday and if no better news, e-mail them again on Monday(2 day interval). Your P3 should be coming real soon. Have you tried calling GZ? I can give you a number. Maybe you have already tried. It should be very soon! Let's hope! Us "May-niners" stick together!...lol %%- Good Luck!
  12. I have an international plan with Sprint for 19cents/min to PRC. Before, I was on a plan with Sprint for 33 cents/min which was okay with me. I had been on that plan for some time when I saw on Sprints website, the 19 cent plan, so I called them immediately to change. The operator first said, "yes, we have a plan for 33 cents". I said, " but I am looking at one for only 19 cents", she said that she wasn't aware of such a plan and then I said, well lady, I'm looking at it right now on your website. She said, "Oh", I said, "Yes!"...lol. I had to walk her thru the site until she found it. I said, "sign me up!" So, I wanted to call my wife that night but I must've dialed the number wrong(too many zeros?) when an operator came on the line and dialed the number for me. I talked with my wife for 20 minutes and called her the following night, this time getting the number right, and talked for 21 minutes. Well, when I got the phone bill, the second call was only $3.99 but the first call was a whopping $137.40!!...$6.87/min.!...lol. I got sprint to reduce the charge, so all worked out. So, I guess the morale of this story is..."Watch out for operators who want to reach out and touch someone!"... B)
  13. For my wife and I, mail between USA and PRC can take anywhere from 9 to 17 days but usually in 9 days. I send mail to her via USPS priority mail and she sends mail to me via China Post registered mail.
  14. I am an optimist, so I say she will get it!...lol Think of the glass being half full, not half empty. Good luck to you both! B)
  15. Does k4 applicants need a ds-230 and of-169 filed or is k4 applicants blanketed by k3 as long as it can be proven that the k4 applicant is the minor, unmarried child of a k3 applicant? -thanks
  16. From the Federal Register.... ----------------------------------------------------- May IR1 Petition Beneficiaries Opt for K3 Processing? ----------------------------------------------------- 30. According to the LIFE Act, a K3 visa may be issued when "an immigrant visa is not immediately available to the alien." To maximize the number of aliens who may benefit from the LIFE Act provisions, VO has determined that an immigrant visa is "available" only when the actual approved I-130 petition has been received by the IV-issuing consular post. If the I-130 petition is at post, or the applicant has already been interviewed and denied the IR1 by a consular officer, perhaps due to lack of the I-864 AOS, that applicant must proceed with IR1 processing and may not choose to apply instead for the K3. If the I-130 petition remains at or is in transit from NVC, or the applicant has already commenced K3 application (by returning Packet 3 forms) when the I-130 petition arrives at post, he/she may continue to process the K3 rather than switch to IR1 processing. K3 applicants may opt at any time to process as IR1s rather than continue the K3 application.
  17. Just curious Bryan, How did you get a I-797C receipt for both the I-130 and the I-129f over a weekend? is that the receipt date and the notice date? yes, i see
  18. Okay Dave, have it your way!...lol. So, I'm thinking early to mid October for interview date. Sounds reasonable? or a little on the optimistic side? I guess we will see. Hey!, you'll recognize us because as your standing in front of the line, we'll be the ones walking away with the visa!!...I'll show it to ya!...lol Happy Trails to you!
  19. tywy99.... Aint that sumthin'. You were the first to turn me onto the whole customs/DHL/waybill thing. I appreciated that more than you can know. Glad to see you're on track again too. Race ya to GZ? We're working on our P3 as I write this via Yahoo w/webcam. Wish you could see her face. It looks like . She wants it in the mail on Saturday. Kuai kuai kuai........ Hi Dave, Yep, I know that you two are as excited as we are and I am happy for all who has gotten p3's this week and for those who will get p3's shortly. We have been working on the forms too and want to get them in the mail ASAP. Race to GZ?.....OK, your on!...lol Good luck to you, good luck to me, and good luck to ALL!
  20. K3 petitioners file the I-129f with the Missouri Service Center which has a Chicago, Ill. mailing address. MSC was set up to handle the Life Act visas, both V and K3. Until BCIS creates a petition form specifically for K3 filing, petitioners are to use the I-129f omitting certain information as stated in Item #12 of the instructions.
  21. http://www.flychina.com/ here's a cool site...
  22. Again, please be careful to note who is on the old process and who is on the new process. Your stuff got through NVC in 2 months but you are on the old process. I'm on the new process and have been stuck at NVC ever since, going on six months now. If you came into the system after early March you are on the new system. That "should" mean a longer wait until GZ gets your paperwork but then a shorter time to visa. At least this is my current understanding of the way things work... Point taken. Thanks Rob. I called Ms Donahue's office yesterday. Ms Donahue wasn't in at the time but I talked to this lady who was very helpful in some information. If I understood her correctly, she said under the new system, they were updating their computers to get p4's out to the beneficiary within 3 weeks prior to the interview date instead of the standing 6 to 8 weeks it is now.
  23. We also have a right to counteract any post. "What's good for the goose, is good for the gander."
