  1. Hello David and KJJ, Thank you so much for your suggestions! I will email all of three years transcripts to them then. Two more questions: 1. On PG 4 item #25, about Federal income tax return information. I filed tax return with Form 1024, do I need use "Adjusted Gross Income" as the Total income for item #25? 2. on PG 6 about item #23, it says: "you may include a recent letter from your employer, showing your employer's address and telephone number, and indicating your annual salary". I got my employment letter, it indicates my Total Gross Pay, it is more than the "Adjusted Gross Income" for Item #25, is it OK? Thanks a lot!
  2. http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864.pdf Note: IF: You are sponsoring only one immigrant, And Income is above 125% povertyline and not using Assets. And are Not using a joint sponsor. You can use for I-864EZ http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864EZ.pdf Hello dnoblett, Thank you so much for your quick response! It says: If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years. My most recent year income was better than the previous two years, do you think I need to submit the previous two years tax return transcript too? Thank you so much!
  3. I am working on I-864 for IR-5, I have a question: Do I need send Tax return copies or Tax return Transcripts? I have both on hand. Thank you very much!
  4. Hello Goerge, Congratulations! From your timeline, (march 10, 2009- medical check up and vaccinations in taishan city), it looks your wife did her medical check up and vaccinations in taishan city, is taishan one of the designated hospital? I saw it only has the designated hospital in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Fujiang and Zhejing. IS there any designated Hospital in Shandong Province? Thank you so much! hailong, things have changed so places like taishan and jiangmen are not accepted by GUZ. here is the link, http://travel.state.gov/pdf/medical/GUZ-ME...T-0002-0906.pdf, for offical places, its the same that you have listed. Hi george, THnak you very much for your update information! Best wishes!
  5. Hi Ricky, About your "Covering letter with barcode", is the new GZO case number associated with the barcode or the GUZ number? Did you pay AOS fee and IV fee after you got GZO number or did you pay them with the GUZ number? Thank you! I got my GZO number after I turned in the DS-3032 and the optin email. Call NVC if you haven't got it already. I paid AOS and IV after I got GZO number Hi RIck, Thank you for your updates! Best wishes!
  6. I printed out the forms that needed to be signed, signed them, and then scanned them back into a saved file. It was the saved files with the signatures which I emailed to the NVC. In the Army it was always ok to write "Original Signed" into the signature block but were prepared to present the original signature at a later date. I don't know if the NVC or the rest of the government will abide by that, and I wasn't going to take the chance. I think the electronic processing is so new that nobody really has a grip on the exact procedures. It all depends on the luck of the draw on whom you get as an NVC operator, and possibly an NVC caseworker also. The GUZ interview process is where it really matters-whatever you sent the NVC just be sure that the originals are present at the interview. How did you organize applicant's documents and petitioner's documents? Did you scan and combine ALL applicant's docuemnts in to ONE PDF file or keep each individual document as one file and then zip ALL files into one zipped file and send to NVCGuangzhou@state.gov? Another question: Did you put a check list or cover sheet in the front of all documents so that the VO will know what documents in the file? Thanks a lot!

  8. The nice lady is wrong. The instructions tell you to mail the DS-3032 and request optin to the electronic processing to the post-specific electronic processing email addresses. You did this. You should have received an auto-response email from NVCGuangzhou@state.gov that said allow 7-10 working days for a reply. It will come soon if you sent it last Wednesday. Hello Whome, I really appreciate your quick response!!! I double checked the auto-response from NVCGuangzhou@state.gov, it did mention: "The NVC has received your e-mail. We are currently processing in the order of receipt. Please allow 10 business days for a response. Thank you for your patience." I do not know why I did not see the 10 business days..... Anyway, last night after called NVC, I emailed DS-2032 to NVCInquiry@state.gov, this morning, I received the following: "The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions before the instruction packet will be sent". Here is my situation, last Wednesday, I sent an email to NVCGuangzhou@state.gov and requested to opt to the Electronic Processing, on the same day, I have paid the AOS fee $70.00 online before I got new case number. Do you think I am still in Paper Processing since I already paid AOS fee without new case number assigned? Do I need to wait for the new case number before I go further documents filing? Thank you again! You are ok with already paying the AOS fee. Once they give you the new electronic processing number they will switch everything over. However, if it was me, I would wait to do anything else until you get the new number. That being said others have gone ahead and been ok I think. I got mine in 9 working days... Hello Whome, Thank you so much!! I totally agree with you. I am waiting for the new GZO number then..... Best wishes to your application!

  10. Hello, I decided to opt to the electronic process. Last Wednesday, I followed http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4410.html and downloaded DS-3020 from this website, got it signed and scanned it as a PDF file, then attached it in the email, with applicant's information and petitioner's information, emailed to NVCGuangzhou@state.gov, but I have NOT received new Case number starting with GZO... So I called NVC a few mnutes ago, a nice lady told me, I should have emailed DS-3020 to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov, and emailed applicant's information and petitioner's information to NVCGuangzhou@state.gov. What should I do now? Thank you very much!
  11. Hello Bingtian, Thank you so much for your response! You are right, I called NVC too, I only need to pay $70.00 for both parents. Best wishes!

  17. Call the NVC at: 603-334-0700, push 1, then push 5 and wait for an operator. When they answer they will want your case number and name, birthdates and email addresses of both beneficiary and petitioner. Then, ask them if they have the new case number for electronic processing. I actually got the new case number by calling BEFORE I got the email telling me what the new number was, and they sent me the new case number email about 15 minutes AFTER I talked to the NVC operator on the phone... Good Luck Thank you so much splinterman! I am calling ....
  18. It will be a GZO number. You should wait until get the GZO to pay the AOS fee but it is ok. I would not email the I-864 until you get the new GZO number.. Hello Whome Thank you so much for your quick response! Before I paid the AOS fee, I called NVC, I was told I could pay it first. Now since I already paid the AOS fee several days, I have not received the new GUO case number. will my AOS payment receipt number be changed to GUO number after NVC assign a new GUO number to me? Thank you again!
  19. Hello, Do you have IR5 Discussion thread? It would be great to have it/ Thank you very much!
  20. Hello there, I am applying IR5 for my parents. I paid AOS fee online, at the same time I sent an email with signed DS-3032 to NVCGuangzhou@state.gov to request joining the electronic processing. After my payment cleard, I saw my receipt and I have printed it out, the case number on the receipt is still GUZ. I have not received any information about this request either email or mail. Do you know how long will it take to get GUZ changed to GUO? Without a new GUO case number, is it OK to email my I-864 form? or do I have to wait for the new GUO then email I-864? Thank you very much!
  21. I am filing AOS for my parents. If my income is sufficient, do you think I need to add my wife as a co-sponsor to show our loves to my parents and like to support my parents for their IR5 visa application? Thank you very much!
  22. Hi C4Racer, That's a great idea to have a letter. Do you have a sample and willing to share? Thank you very much!
  23. We got the same email as we just finished IR5 for my wife's parents. Doucments that used to be turned into GUZ are now being collected by the NVC. These are items like marriage cert, birth cert, police report... etc. Here is a link describing which documents. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html Also, send in the passport photographs as well. Even though she will take them to the interview, they want to see them before hand. You don't have to wait for them to be mailed to you. Have someone in China scan them in and email them. Just make sure they send it to you in PDF format. This is the reason they recommend having access to scanner both in US and China when you opt into electronic processing. Hello C4Racer, I read many posts that posted. Thank you so much for your support! I have a question about Electronically Processing: Do I have to scan all the required forms (such as DS-230, I-864), documents (such as, applicant's birth cert, marriage cert, photocopy of passport data page, police cert, petitioner's birth cert, marriage cert) and save them into ONE PDF file? Thank you very much!
  24. Hi Rick, Thank you so much for your answer! My is still IN PROCESS, that means I have to wait for a couple of days, am I correct? Another question: I applied for my father and mother, do I have to pay $70.00 for each of them, total $140.00 for the AOS fee? I do not understand the following: ........, the petitioner of GUZ........., also filed petitions for the following unmarried son(s), unmarried daughter(s), and/or parent(s) processing at the National Visa Center. As these petitions were at the National Visa Center when the AOS payment was made, the submission of an AOS Fee Payment for this case will satisfy the AOS fee requirement for them. Does it mean ONE payment of $70.00 is required for both of my parents? Thank you very much! If you pay your fee online, after you paid your fee, you can download a cover page with barcode at the receipt page. (If you pay by other method, they will send a page by mail probably?? I have never tried it) The documents look OK on files...I didn't really do anything to it after I scanned except putting them in order.
  25. Hi Rick, You said " i sent the i-864 package after i paid that $70 with the cover page with barcode.....", where did you get the "cover page with barcode" ? Another question: when I scan and save the document as PDF file, it does not look like very clear. How do you deal with the document scanning? Thank you very much! Hailong
