  1. Sweet! What a great day at the CFL!! Congratulations!!!
  2. Way to go!! Congrats!! And thatnks for the info!
  3. Cool - that's what I figured. By the way, which address for GUZ should I use on the new Letter of Intent?
  4. Okay. That's what I was leaning toward, but I wanted a little reaffirmation from someone more experienced than I. Thanks!
  5. hehe... okay, I know that already. Maybe I'm just not being clear in my question: Sorry! I have everything for the I-134 ready to go. But my question is about what goes WITH the DS-156K at the Medical: The DS-156K asks to attach "Evidence of Engagement to Your Fianc¨¦(e)" and "Evidence of Financial Support" to the DS-156K. http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/82063.pdf(Just below question # 5) If: a.) the DS-156K goes with the Medical and b.) the DS-156K asks for "Evidence of Engagement to Your Fianc¨¦(e)" and "Evidence of Financial Support" to "Be Attached to the DS-156K" then I would assume c.) I need to attach "Evidence of Engagement to Your Fianc¨¦(e)" and "Evidence of Financial Support" to the DS-156K I send in with the Medical So my question is this: What "Evidence of Engagement to Your Fianc¨¦(e)" and "Evidence of Financial Support" to I attach to the DS-156K when it goes to the Medical Exam?? Does that make sense?
  6. Thanks Steve, but that was not my question. You showed me this the other day: CFL FAQ for P4 Which says: The DS-156K says that along with my fiance¨¦'s Birth Certificate and Police Certificates, they also want "Evidence of Engagement to Your Fianc¨¦(e)" and "Evidence of Financial Support" to "be attached". I thought the "Evidence of Financial Support" went with the I-134 at the Interview, not in the paperwork that goes to the Medical Exam. Do I need to include the "Evidence of Financial Support" with the DS-156K too? And what about the "Evidence of Engagement to Your Fianc¨¦(e)" for the DS-156K? Do I need something there as well?
  7. Cool, thanks. Next question about the DS-156K then... It asks for "Evidence of Engagement to Your Fianc¨¦(e)" and "Evidence of Financial Support".. What do I need to include with the DS-156K to cover this?? And if I am not mistaken, the DS-156K needs to go with her to the Medical Exam... does this "Evidence" need to go to the Medical as well?
  8. Does the DS-230 need to go to the hospital with all the other medical? Or does it only need to go to the Interview?
  9. So she needs to take (From the FAQ page): 1) Four (4) passport pictures (print name on back) 2) Beneficiary ID and Passport 3) P4 Appointment letter (make copies; give them a copy if they will accept it) 4) P3 collected docs from OF-169 checklist (divorce, police, marriage, police certificates, etc -- make copies) 5) P4 (K1 list) (make copies) a. DS-156 in duplicate: 2 in English ; 2 in Chinese ; (sign); attached (2) passport photos of beneficiary to each (total of 4 pics) b. DS-156K in English ; (do not sign ; beneficiary will sign at consulate) c. DS-157 in duplicate: 2 in English ; 2 in Chinese ; (no signature needed; no signature block) d. GNI-2 , Supplemental Form (do not sign ; beneficiary will sign at consulate) e. GIV-24 , Family Composition Sheet (sign) f. Medical docs from P4 g. Certification of legal capacity and intent to marry (K1: do not sign; beneficiary will sign at consulate) 6) Have blank forms for P4 docs (in case something is wrong) So she turns in ALL of this at the medical and not at the Interview? And should we make copies of all these things and take those copies to the Interview with the 'Kitchen Sink'? Sorry for all the questions, and yes, I have been through the FAQ pages... There is just a lot of info and forms running around in my head, and I'm trying to clarify... Plus, with a few weeks to go, I'm sweating just a bit...
  10. hmmmmm. i guess i'm not the only one who felt this way. hmmm.. nope. i guess not. but you DO seem to be the only one harping on it relentlessly, as if it your own personal campaign to keep anyone and everyone away from the Yangs. while i do appreciate your input and advice in this matter, your relentlessly bashing and harping on the Yangs has forced me to discard your opinion on this subject entirely. perhaps one post was enough. I HAVE read the entire thread, and have seen only a handful (2-3) complaints against them, versus a multitude of praise from thankful people... it seems you are less interested in helping others with advice than you are interested in making this your own personal "I hate the Yangs" party. at least in this thread. so, I'm really sorry you had a bad time at the Yang's, and I thank you very much for the advice and recommendations, as well as sharing your personal experience - but I can no longer take your opinion seriously on this matter. you just seem to have gone a little overboard, IMHO. i think we are going to give them a chance, if they have a room available.
  11. great. so.... when she goes to the hospital for the medical exam, what should she take with her - if they don't need the paperwork until she picks up the results...?? 1) Exam fee. 2) Cover letter from P4 showing her interview with the consulate. 3) ID 4) Blank medical form from P4. okay... i think i am more confused... she can go to the hospital, with the cover letter from the P4, her ID, and the blank medical form from the P4, pay the medical exam fee, and then have the exam done. THEN, when I arrive, we can go together to pay the Visa Application fee at Citic (so I can pay for it) and THEN we have to take that reciept back to the hospital to pick up the results??? am i on target now??
  12. great. so.... when she goes to the hospital for the medical exam, what should she take with her - if they don't need the paperwork until she picks up the results...??
  13. Can you clarify: So she can go to Guangzhou earlier than me, go to the hospital with her paperwork and get the medical... Then when I arrive, I can go with her to pay the Visa Application fee, then take that reciept to the hospital and pick up the medical results...?? Is that right?
  14. Can we have the medical done first, and then pay the fee for the Visa Interview? I know there is a fee for the medical, and a potential rush fee if we need the paperwork expedited, and I know we need to have all the P4 paperwork ready for the medical... But I thought I read somewhere that you had to pay your Interview fee and show a receipt and the medical checkup. I wanted to clarify if that was true. My fiancee is planning to go to GUZ a few day before me in order to get the medical out of the way just to make sure its done before the Interview, but I want to wait until I get there to pay the Visa Interview fee, just so I can pay for it personally instead of it coming out of her pocket before I arrive... Anyone??
  15. Does it have a matress and running water? 'Cause if it does, sounds like a better place than many I have been.......
  16. So... Is this still the place to go?? It sounds great to me.
  17. Here's another one: On the EMS Label I send to Guangzhou, I know it says to fill out the US Consulate in the "Sender" box... But should we also fill out the "to" box as well (with my fiancee's address in it)??? And if so, should I put here it in Chinese or in Pinyin, or both...??
  18. Another question, regarding my fiancee's address... She lives in a very rural village. They don't have "street addresses" as on the forms. We are also concerned because on the address was given in PinYin, not Chinese Characters... The DOS lists it in Pinyin (but no tone marks). Will it still make it to her with a PinYin address?? Second Question: When she fills out the EMS label to send back with her P3, should she fill it out in Chinese Characters, or in Pinyin?? (Her address is so long, it does not fit in the box on the DS-230 Part I, so I am sending a supplimental page with both the Pinyin and the Chinese characters. But I assume that won't matter as much since they will use the EMS label we send, correct?)
  19. Excellent! Thank you so much! I KNOW!! But she (and her family) wanted to finish at the University first. So, yeah, I'm a bit wound up to get her here. Not to mention now that she IS finally finished with school, and worried about getting a job in China knowing she is (hopefully) leaving for the US soon, she has a lot of time on her hands. Bored. Bored is a better word. Horribly bored. And she wants to be here yesterday. As do I. But thank you all for the help. It is a lot of stress, added to the excitement and nerves of marriage in general and you all have helped so much! Thanks!
