  1. I have used FlyChina.com. Sometimes Travelocity.com does have good prices.
  2. I would not worry about the income requirements. you are going to be saving money on Tao Tao !
  3. This is common in K-Visa cases when you list child on the I-129F. No need to contact anyone, later if it is decided to bring son to the USA you can start a K-2or4 follow-to-join within 1 year of parent's getting a K-1or3 visa. Thank You
  4. We used the Vermont service center. From the date of the initial mailing of the I129 to the interview date took exactly 8 months. I dont have the exact dates but we filed in Feb 09 , NOA2 and NVC approvals happened in July 09. P3 received and mailed back middle of August.
  5. We have our interview OCT 20 7:15 AM. Her son will not be comming with her and we did not fill out any forms for him but the letter we received lists him as one of the beneficiaries besides my fiance. Is this common or shoul I call GUZ?
  6. LMAO........Sounds familiar. I was in China in July and the bed that my fiancee had was very hard. When I complained she put a bamboo sheet on it make it "soft".
  7. I have been to China two times now and I did not have any problems with the do and the donts (at least I think so). They understand that you are from a diffrent culture and dont expect you to know the do's and dont's. As long as you are polite you will be fine. Ofcourse me not speaking Chinese and my fiancees family not speaking english makes it easy or may be the translator they had there both times just did not tell me if I was wrong
  8. How can I find out if my K1 file has reached GUZ? It was mailed by NVC on July 24th. Thanks
  9. A couple of things I can think of: Of all the firewalls that are out there ZoneAlarm has the biggest footprint (uses a lot of memory/cpu to run) Try disabling zonealarm when you are using QQ and see if it helps. Look in your control panel to see if Windows firewall is on. If it is then having 2 firewalls running at the same time can also cause problems. Just be carefull if you diable zonealarm as your computer will be vulnerable during that time
  10. I just scanned my laptop and I do not have any of the adware/malware files. One other thing are you using any firewalls?
  11. We use QQ between the US and China. I have Vista and she has XP. At times we have to close the video and restart but for the most part works ok. Try playing around with your audio and video settings. I had to do that when I first set it up. I also changed some Audio settings in the control panel.........dont remember what I did. the one thing I have realized is that when you make the intial connection and if music does not play then the audio will be a problem.
  12. Yes you can. I got a Chinese visa in HK last year. If i remember correctly the cost was $130, same as in the US and I got it thru CTS (China Travel Service) in Mongkwock .... I am spelling that wrong. If you look at the HK subway map you will find it.
  13. My K1 was approved last month. With my filing I included pictures, copies of the passport with entry/exit stamps, emails, phone logs and just a letter me and from her about our intentions to marry each other. I did not include any tax/financial docs. these are required at the time of interview.
  14. I just got back from Guangzhou, China 2 days ago. I flew Asiana via Seoul. In Korea as soon as you disembark there was a guy checking temperatures and then you had to walk thru a thermal camera. In China all you had to do was fill out a form. Both, In Korea and China there were people walking around in masks at the airport. On the way back there was no check in Korea. i would rate Asiana a 9.5... great service.
  15. Thanks for the Input.......makes sense to me to make the change. I use something similar to call China, costs me abot 4 cents a minute and I spend about $80 a month. so yeah theres a lot of mushy stuff going on
  16. Shailesh Saoji. To The Consular Officer US Consulate, Guangzhou, China Evolution of Relationship I have not had a relationship with my ex wife since 2004 and we finalized our divorce in 2008. I came across HuiFen in October of 2008 and eventually started corresponding with her on a daily basis, first by email and then by phone. Having my own business makes it very difficult for me to take multiple days off but fortunately Thanksgiving was just around the corner and I decided to go and meet her in person We met in Hong Kong in November of 2008 and the more I got to know her the more I realized this was the right thing to do. I am not the kind of person who will procrastinate, if something feels right I just do it. I applied for a Chinese visa in Hong Kong and Thanksgiving Day went to Guangzhou to meet with her family. This was also her first time out of China so while in Hong Kong we did the typical tourist things. Our first evening there we went to Café Deco for dinner which has the best view of HK harbor; we also went to Disney and to Madam Tussaud's. She had never had anything other then Chinese food so I introduced her to Indian food and Mexican food. We talk to each other every day for hours as is evident with my phone bills and for the past few months we have been using QQ video. I went back to see her, in July 2009 . We spent most of our time in her home town of ZengCheng visiting her family, friends and workplace. We also spent a few evenings in Guangzhou and had dinner at “Vaastu” an Indian restaurant which claims to be the biggest Indian restaurant outside of India and Milanos as she had never had Italian food. I also bought her down to our consulate so she would know where she needs to go for her interview. Shailesh Saoji Any suggestions? I am too good at writing stuff
