Hey, guys, I've noticed that some members on CFL have posted some problems about blue slips, I am curious, does it mean that when a person gets a blue slip, he/she will have to submit more documents to overcome the blue slips or does it mean that sometimes they have to go to a second interview? Hi, naogong, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me on this matter, I really appreciate it. Well, I called the DOS last night, and finally got to talk to a lady there, she was very nice and patient, and when I gave her my case number, she told me that according to the info she could find, my case file was picked up by GUZ on Nov. 24,2006. And then she told me that I should expect 3 months before I get my interview date. I really don't know when I will get my P4 and be informed the interview date, now I am kinda glad that my case file was finally entered into the GUZ system and things are moving on. I am going to call 4008 and DOS in January next year to see the case status. Praise the LORD, and may GOD bless everyone on CFL. FREEASABIRD

Hey, all friends on CFL, I just called the US VISA SERVICE CENTER in China, which is by the number: 4008-872-333, I waited and waited, and finally got to talk to a guy speaking in Cantonese, that was no problem for me, cause I can speak perfect Mandarin and Cantonese. hahahaa....... However, when I asked about my case status, he checked on his computer system and told me: "Sir, your case has arrived in GUZ, and you are on the waiting stage for P4 and you will be notified the interview date with the P4." and then I asked "Could you look into your system and help me check if the consulate has set the interview date for me yet? " He said very kindly to me:" Sorry, sir, there is not yet any information regarding your interview date in the system." No matter what, I am going to call DOS tonight again to find out some more info if I can. haha.... Well, well, well, I think I feel so much better now knowing that my case file was not lost. But what should I do now? Does anybody know how much longer I have to wait until I get my P4?? Share some thoughts with me when you guys have time ok? Thanks in advance. FREEASABIRD

Hey, guys, I tried the number 202-663-1225 for DOS 15 mins ago. Well, all I heard on this number was a lot of information about different things related to visas. Oh, man, those were just the automatic recorded information!!! I NEED TO TALK TO SOME HUMAN BEING ON DOS REGARDING MY CASE!!! Does anybody know how to get to talk to the real person in DOS? Hi, I think the main point about getting a visitor visa to the USA is to convince the Visa Officer that she will return to HK after the visit. Well, some people have a very strong ties to HK, which means something like a stable job, a good income, a husband, a big house. Some people don't have the things listed above, then they will fall into the DENIAL GROUP. Good luck to your wife's friend! As a matter of fact, it all depends on the mood of the officer and how lucky the visa applicant is. I want to add one more thing, if she is young and able to speak good English, the chance of getting a visitor visa is near ZERO. But stay encouraged, nothing is impossible, buddy! FREEASABIRD

Hey, Statoco, I have given the info for calling DOS to my wife, she is very busy at work every day, so I don't know if she has called yet. I will call her tomorrow to find out for sure. Well, I just get kind of frustrated every time I think about phone calls like this. You know, you just never get encouraging news from them. I will update you when I know more ok? Hey,Stacoto, you found out from the DHL that your petition has been picked up, but have you called the consulate or the visa service center to make sure about this? I suggest you give them a call to confirm. FREEASABIRD

Hey, Stacoto, you said you ran a DHL check, found out they had picked up all the packages that were sent in September, but one from 9/6 wasn't. Hey, you are waiting on a CR 1 visa right? But how come you are going to get ready for P3? It should be a P4, I think. Correct me if I am wrong about this, my friend. Well, you info about the DHL was encouraging, do you think that kinda means my petition sent from NVC in late June has already arrived in GUZ too? Share with me some thoughts on this. FREEASABIRD

Hey, Stataco, I think you are right. I am starting to feel a little nervous now. I don't know, I just have to pray to GOD about what I want and let HIM lead the way. Well, I have again emailed the GUZ today to find out if they have got my paperwork, because on their last email reply, they said "Shipments of case files mailed from the NVC can take several weeks to several months to arrive in China and clear Chinese customs. We will contact you once we are ready to continue processing the case." So,.........How do you evaluate this situation? FREEASABIRD

Hey, Stataco, I am the one whose CR1 paperwork left the NVC on June 28, and I still haven't heard anything new since then. So I am very frustrated. I emailed the GUZ and they told me to be patient, because they still haven't received my case file. I really don't know what to do now? Do you really think my paperwork was lost in somewhere????
