I totally agree with you guys, when you are thinking about tracking the paperwork, you lose sleep and you waste your precious time, I suggest you spend the time on reading some good books or watching some good movies, since the DVDs in CHINA are so cheap. Well, I would think that no matter what you have tried or will try, things will still be the same. The consulate will tell you all the time that they handle thousands of cases every month, and they are very busy and they will notify you soon.............. Yes, I agree with the saying that "wait" is the only key now. But I would still give it a try. So I am in CHINA now, should I just dial (DOS) 1-202-663-1225 from Mainland China or should I have my wife call this number from the states? Does anyone know the answer to my question? Hey, guys, I am raising a stupid question again: I know that DOS represents Department Of States. And there is a type of phone cards sold at CITIC BANKS to those visa applicants for them to call and find out about the visa process in GUZ. And I also know from CFL that when NVC has forwarded the case to GUZ, then it is time to call DOS to find out about the visa status. So my stupid question is, do you think calling the DOS is the same as calling with those CITIC BANK PHONE CARDS? Please understand my concern and give me some thoughts if you can. GOD BLESS! Hey, guys, I have tried many times to track by reference on the DHL website (according to what Mama Bear said on the forum here), but it turned out very disappointing, I could not find any info about the shipment out of NVC on June 28, 2006. It is just so strange. Can someone get into the DHL website, can find out the info for me???? I guess I am just getting dumber because of this waiting process. B) Help me out if anyone can. My petition is for CR1, and it was sent to GUZ on 9/21 Hey, Stacoto, my petition is also for CR 1, and it was sent from NVC to GUZ in late June, but look, I still have not got my packet from them yet, and I called the service center, they told me that my case file was still not on their computer system. Dear friends on Candleforlove, I am kinda depressed today. I called the Guangzhou Consulate Service Center, (the kind of calls you need to buy a phone card at CITIC BANK beforehand). However, I called them, and the girl that answered the call was really sweet and nice, but she said, "Sir, I am sorry, your file still hasn't arrived in GUZ, our computer system doesn't have any record of your case file." And then I said:" Well, the email from NVC said that they had forwarded my case to GUZ on June 28, now it has been over 120 days. WHY IS THAT MY CASE FILE IS STILL NOT IN GUZ? It just doesn't make any sense to me, I was told it would only take 60----120 days from NVC to GUZ!!!" that girl was still very nice, she said:"Sir, don't worry, it all depends, different people have different situations." (I guess she meant different lucks) . She added:" Why don't you wait for a couple of days, and call again?" OH MAN! I guess I belong to the unlucky group of visa applicants. HOW LONG? HOW LONG? HOW LONG? I am losing my sleep, losing my patience, losing my mind!!!! What should I do now? SOS FREE AS A SAD BIRD

Thanks to Zhen's Tiger, I will do that, and I will try to stay encouraged,(you know, it is hard), my paperwork had been sent out from NVC in July, so it has been 4 months now, if it is true that it takes about 7 months from NVC to interview, then I guess there are still 3 depressing months to go through, however, thank you all for your info. Guess I'll have to spend a lonely Christmas in CHINA. SAD SAD SAD! FREEASABIRD

How many months do you guys think will take for the CR paperwork FROM NVC until the Interview Time in Guangzhou? Just give me some kind of ideas, if you have any. Hey, folks, I really understand how you guys feel when calling the DOS. I mean, they are not rude to me or anything, it is just so disappointing that every time I called, all I heard was that:" Sir, sorry, your case file hasn't been entered into our computer system yet." THE SAME EVERY TIME!!! However, I don't know how long I still have to wait for the paperworks to get in the CONSULATE. This part of the process is so depressing!!!!! HELP!!!!
