  1. Best to let them do the photos. They didn't like any we had with us. Be sure about the address to go to also. We found many taxi drivers saying no such place. Wrong address they kept saying. Just tell them where to go. Don't ask if they know the place. Wifes new one is ten years. If your driving though theres a small supermarket maybe 2 or 3 blocks from there. Only place we saw you can park near by. Without money meters anyway. We were there about 3 hours.
  2. Go to BB&T. In north carolina anyway. Wife got a checking account with only her chinese passport. No ssn required.
  3. We didn't really debate anything much. I was just surprised that she banned me from reading it. I never say much negative about China. I know there was a time when her family was poor, but they prospered in later years. Heck, that was my life also. As far at the US over China, my wife would have been just fine with me moving to China instead of her moving here. I understand. She kinda banned me to. Dont have a real reason why she did, she just did. I guess its a subject we guys talk about between ourself. With wife we just kinda have to agree. Its ok though, not a subject for argueing. Nothing realy is. Our home is in China also. I'm still trying to understand why we are not there now. Its been 5 years, still have a few things cant seem to get a straight answer on. Shes my life so all I know to do is she will tell me. To do it my way wont work. I'm happy with that.
  4. Not a good idea to debate with her the pros and cons about China. The USA its ok to do so. My wife does not like the .gov in China at all but she does not care for anyone putting the PRC down including me. I found real fast its best to let her bring up the subject. She will be your guide on what to say and what not to say. Its up to you to figure out how she wants you to react. Best not to dwell on a chinese thing as a whole. Not if its between you and wife. Its best to leave it at that. Mood changes may not apply though, seems to differ then
  5. Just wanted to wish a Happy Mothers Day To all our wives. We have no children but I know she would be the best mom a kid could have. Got her a card, some white roses and a stuffed Tigger from Winne the Pooh. She loves them things.
  6. I think you two should decide if you need to sell your truck. Kinda sounds like looking for a newer model. Distance is a problem for most of us, many times it can make you sell that truck. I'm a poor white boy didnt even own a truck. My sweety loved me very much, still not sure why.She was able to come here first so we could be married she knew I was in doubt and couldnt afford to go there.. But somehow she found a way to do it. When she had to leave I knew I had to sell that truck I didn't have and prove to her what she already knew. And I did six times. Still dont know how I did it but I did. Yep pretty much quit my job to be with her. Found it not so hard to do if thats what you two realy want. You do have to prove things to her, as well as she does to you. Something I think we dont think about to much is shes gonna sell her truck. Quit her job and start from scratch again. That truck goes boths ways. Up to you two to want to sell it. Yep got a big mouth she tells me that all the time. Makes sense in a dumb way though dont it. Need more proof sold it. Notice shes laughing. The female guide and her gave me a womans bike. 20 more miles of up the butt proof.
  7. Told us the same thing. Ours went up to $27.99 monthly. Yes, I am now paying the fee too. I called them and they explained it to me this way. They said they had been exempt from such fees under Americam Law until this year when Congress passed a new law covering any web based phone service that does business in the U.S. Sounds believeable.
  8. If a person realy wants to do this there are many places on the web one can find this type of work. ESL is only one of many, there are also .gov programs as well as different religions that offer these programs in China. Many of which you need no BA or a degree of any kind. You need only to speak english. It can be very complicated to do this, thats well known. This truly has to be something you want to do. Yes it can be rewarding to you as well as the children. Just make sure you ask and know all the faqs before doing this. Bottom line is these kids can and will care about you faster than you think (if you thought about that). So be sure this is what you want to do. These children come first not your thoughts of a worthy goal or a dollar bill. That has to be the last thing on your mind. In truth it should not be there at all.
  9. She has an SSN? Can't work the same day? Don't understand other answers. Got a SSN gives you the right to work don't it? Please correct me if wrong. We live in NC also. Once deneid(spelled wrong) due to no approved I-130 for K3, that was the only reason. If she has a ssn go for it. She is legal to work . We have been through heck and back over this subject. Your state may not be Fed. Just a sugestion, only a faq. Best to contact the county you live in. State and local they can give, we found it not the same as federal level. Just what we found, more or less. (not typ). Results may vary.................... As far as FED law goes makes no sense why she has not the right to work. SSN gives you all the right you need, don't it?
  10. Sorry bout that. Yes shes here on a k3. I-129f was approved just over 2 years ago thats when she came. I-130 P2 took so long wifes visa expired, had to apply for an extension which after 5 months just got that in the mail 2 days ago. Just got approved I-130 (P2) 3 months ago. I work for myself and its all but died. Real hard to come up with $1010. Thanks much for the advice. Will do!!!
  11. Sorry no timeline, it's a mess. Jing has been here almost two years now. We filled for ead before we knew i-130 had to be approved first so of course she was denied. We have p2 now for i-130 approved so want to file again. Can't afford the total package so was wondering if anyone here did aos one thing at a time?
