  1. Mike, Dan date of 4/30 looks like it should have been deliver according to DHL record. I ran a 2 month tracking and anything within his range before and after has been delivered. I think mine might be in a really small package. Is it true small package 3 lbs and under get pass custom fairly easy? Joe So i just called the dhl number and set up an automated text message to my phone when that package gets delivered. This way the idiotic web based tracking may or not make me crazy, either I will get a text selling me viagra, or the package is delivered. Of course if I get the ionterview and celebrate my one year anniversary in china maybe I will keep that viagra text number
  2. great to hear congratulations!! Please relay your experiences for us behind you I wish you great success on your new life
  3. Read this post in the Ellis' Island thread. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=492032 It is the most convincing argument I have read to date in favor of front loading petitions. Something in the past I've been skeptical of but now am reconsidering my position. Oh well I have been worried about not frontloading. My lawyer prepared the i-13o and it was approved no problem with nothing but the minimum, as more advice was to not give them ammunition to hang you, and follow instructions exactly type thinking, dont guess dont interpret, read instructions follow exactly . I guess moving from what if should have to how to move forward with interview material is an important question.
  4. looks like electronic filing is the way to go wow I can't believe the crazy process with customs clearence when the age of the internet is established. good luck I'm very jealous

  6. I am so thrilled the new electronic format is successful and quick. I am stunned at how short your time is please tell your whole tale! congrats!
  7. I found this had been a panic for me, I thought it was actual record check and a whole deal. I ended up just making a simple affidavit version, and took 2 routes: I had my statement and signature notarized (by my sister which was a nice visit home) then took it to the secretary of state office in Illinois to verify the notary signature, the sec of state process had nothing to do with me, it was verifying the notary! Then I took it to china consulate in Chicago paid the $20 and form, and submitted it at same time I applied for visa to go to China. I included an envelope to mail it to me, but they forgot so after emails and phone callls that went unanswered I did a very firm fax to the consulate and they called me first thing next morning and apologized and said they would mail it right out. I was worried so I also did the same process in Ohio and was ready to mail it to NY consulate if I needed. I never needed the document translated when we went to register for marriage, and the documents were fine. If you want my example I would be happy to share. poolman802@gmail.com
  8. oh sounds great im sure spending a lot on postage 3 times mailed express mail
  9. I had not been too thrilled with the casual answers of my HR. I filled out the forms to put my wife on my medical because they said it was reqauired within 30 days of my marriage. So I said well what does this meabn I am married and my wife is stuck in another country thanks to the slow immigration process but I want her recorded within the 30 days. They were like oh yea well don't worry, I should have gotten that don't worry in writing now I am worried
  10. Both times I got visa I provided usps priority mail envelope and stamp and addressed it myself and the passport showed up in my mailbox the next week. I was in and out of the consulate in 5 minutes the second time! I enjoyed a fun day with my mom in chicago, wher i grew up, but moved away 18 years ago
  11. I live in Ohio and that puts my juristiction New York City, but I was born in Chicago and go there for family visits. I went both times for visa and marriageability document to Chicago, first time during June only thing they would issue was 30 day single visit, and I had to have all kinds of proof and questions, as well as wait 3 hours to see someone. Next time in November no waiting took 2 minutes no question (I put on form i was married to Chinese citizen maybe that helped) and requested one year multiple, they issued one year multiple 90 day no problem.
  12. Sounds great but to find a job and afford to live there is more dream than reality
