1. THANK YOU FOR THE RESPONSE JUST TRYING TO COVER ALL BASE'S
2. i HAVE NOTICED ON THIS FORUM ON SEVERAL TIME'S WHERE THE X WIFE'S SSN AND OTHERE INFOR MATION WAS NEEDED OTHERE THAN JUST THE DIVORCEE DECREE .WHY ARE THESE THING'S IMPORTANT AND SHOULD I HAVE FOR OVER COME DOCUMENTATION .i BELIVE HERE IN TEXAS I CAN GET A COPY OF HER NEW MARRIAGE DECREE AND I KNOW WHERE SEE WORKS AND SSN ANY THING ELSE TO PROVE WE ARE NOT TOGETHER? AND ONE MORE THING ON THIS TO WHEN WE DIVORCED WE DID NOT USE A ATTORNEY AND THE ADDRESS SHE USED ON THE DIVORCEE DECREE IS THE SAME ONE I LIVE AT NOW I HAD MOVED OUT AND HAD A DIFFERENT ADDRESS AND WHEN SHE REMARRIED INSTEAD OF SELLING THE HOUSE I BOUGHT HER INTEREST IN IT . SO THIS IS THE ADDRESS WHERE I LIVE AND THE ADDRESS WHERE IT SAY'S SHE LIVED DO YOU THINK THIS WILL GIVE A RED FLAG TO THE VO THANK'S AND I HOPE THIS IS NOT TO CONFUSING
3. This is probally not a concern .But my fiance asked me and I thought I would be able to get a good answer here. She has a concern that her father is in the CCP I told her I did not think it would matter as long as she is not.She is not a member of the ccp
4. That's the problem. I don't have the NOA2 yet. I have called the "Customer Service" number they list, but I have not been able to talk to a human being. We are waiting for RFE's, but how do I know they didn't lose my petition? 225043 I know you are wondering. As I have and every one else on this site not kowing the day of thing's and the uncertanity it bring's. But the advice you where given is good look at the othere time line's as some one else posted I read not to long ago every one has a hang up spot but for the most part they all average about the same in the end. I and my SO waited from january23 to may 31 to get her p3
5. Based on the information you provided you will not be able to secure a visa to visit China, using your current passport. They require 6 months validity from the date of visa issuance. My advice is to first secure a notarized copy of all pages (even the blank ones) of you current passport. Then go to this link today and apply for passport renewal. http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/renew/renew_833.html Request and pay for the expedited service. Your old passport will be returned to you marked cancelled and with two holes punched in it. You can then apply for a visa for China using your new passport. 224079 Thank's for the info I did not know this about getting a visa .Trying to cover all my bases .And again the info is much appreciated
6. I was curious of this question my SO lives in nanning and her sister travels to guz regularly she has sent back her p3 but it has not been put into the computer as of yet. can she go before her interview and get her medical exam and then she will not have to stay in guz for as long and as well if there is a problem with the exam we or she will not have press in the time right before the interview. does she have to wait for the p4 package to come to her ?
7. Hello to all did not know where to post this. My passport expires in the middle of november . And my fiance hopefully will be able to pass interview and come here in september .I hope to travel there and bring her back here with me to the U.S .This is the question sense i only have 6 months on my passport as of now will there be a problem in international flight with it and also getting a visa from china that would be good for longer than my passport is valid .And if i need to send this passport in to get anouther then this would effect me being able to show prooof of my 3 trips to china to see my S.O I know i can make a notorized copy of it but what if the original is asked for and does any one know where or who to talk to about my visa when i got this one all most 10 years ago i just went to the post office and got the form and sent it in .
8. I Had a similar question if I use a co sponsor would the so not have to so some proof of relation to the co sponsor or a letter of approval or some thing just as the petioner has to do in writing a letter stating they will marry and invite the benificary ..... some thing to show they have knowledge of this person and as well the SO it seems would have to know at least some thing of the co sponsor .... would like to know of this to
9. Hey Paul congrat's .... we live close and have similar time lines as it relates to trips to nanning as well as same name as well i live in Texas Austin maybe we can talk some time maybe our fiances could meet as well some time being both from nanning ....
10. This is my question I have seen where it say's and do not know if this is true that the bank staement's and documents are only good for 45 day's .As well I have been told they are good for a year? would like some clarification on this if possible. As well is it better to send these thing's to my fiance to take to the interview or to the consulate .If the actually do check the petion before the actual interview then would it not be better to send to them before hand my only worry with this is it took from the nvc 4 months to get the packet 3 to my fiance so i worry the paer's would be sitting some where and would not be available when the interview takes place
11. Hi just wanted to ask. For and opion on this .If my fiance has all of the proper documentation and i can not go into the interview does it really matter if i am there.I would like to be there to support her but she will need a month after the interview to quit job and spend time with family and prepare to move .If I go again to china before she come's here i owuld rather accompany her her on her flight I can not go for a week for interview and then anouther 4 weeks before she come 's here as well if they ask for more documentation I think it would be better if i was here to be able to ge these things to her .We do not have a interview date yet and would like to plan best approach to this situation .This has probally been discussed before in another topic I assume but have not been able to find
12. (Sorry for the typos, my mother was transcribing it and apparently had a jammed finger.) Anyway, does USCIS know that I'm in China and not in the States? I have no intention of flying back to the States to get my damn fingerprints. Will my biometrics appointment be at Guangzhou? Anyone else have this going on? 222873 Since you are a K1 filed after March 5, 2006, this sounds like the breaking of new ground to me. I take it you received an earlier I-797 indicating receipt of your petition and this is a later notice. Perhaps the biometrics is part of the new IMBRA requirements. One would need to carefully read the entire notice to know. You are probably the first CFL member to receive one of these. 222888 I am betting this is the beginning of IMBRA. Get his print, and then run an interpol / IAFIS check on him to see what his true identity is and if there is anything shady in his past. Sounds like the process has changed... Wonder if this is means an NOA3? Wonder how long the gap between NOA and Biometric appt might be. Would it benefit him to call DOS or NVC and remind them he is in China, OR, better yet, go to GUZ on ACH Friday and ask them what he needs to do? Maybe a friendly VO can help work the strings in the backoffice and get the biometric done without a $2000 flight... I think if I were in his shoes, I would be on my way to ACH next friday (since it is 212pm there now, and the doors are closed for this week) 222891 WHY ARE THEY CLOSED THIS WEEK ??
13. but most of all just sit back, wait, and buy a case of Cheetos. No one knows what happens behind the scenes, like Shaq says, it's great fun for some to speculate, but your P4 will come when it comes. It's perfectly normal to not hear ANYTHING in the meantime. You can drive yourself crazy worrying, so just keep posting. We can help in that area. 222001 Thank you for the advice all of you seem very knowledgable and prepared for your interviews .It is very comforting to me to know othere's have put in the effort that i can benefit from
14. USCIS does the first Name Check before NOA2. K visas do not normally have a third name check initiated by the Consulate. The second name check is initiated at NVC, and in many cases in complete before the case goes to GUZ. USCONGUZ has addressed this recently. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18052 221993 I see well i guess i do not know then .I am doing a k1 i thought they did another one at the consulate i know my name check is complete at the nvc so then i guess I am just waiting for the consulate to get my packet 3 and put it in the computer and give a interview date and send out packet 4 my fiance sent the packet 3 back on her sunday .I do not want to sound to unaware of my situation but I am a planner and jhust trying to get a better feel for time and things to accomplish .I have been teaching kung fu for 11 years and every thing is step by step and it tends to run over in every thing else in my life .As well I all ways want to be sure of things I am kind of a worrier
15. Hello to all this maybe covered some where. But just a little confused about it .I know the NVC does a name check and i am under the impression the consulate does to .But when do they start it and is it the same as the name check of the NVC and if it is then why do anouther one.I guess I am asking does it start when they put it in the computer or after the packet 3 returns and do they do them in all situations and if the name check from the NVC took about 2 or 3 weeks should i expect the same time from the consulate .I guess i said the same thing more than once
16. First, welcome to Candle and congratulations on your new-found love and plans. Unfortunately, the USCIS will NOT accept your petition because you had not met face to face before you filed it. It is absolutely imperative that you meet face to face within two years before you file a petition. I suggest that you contact the USCIS and withdraw your original petition and file again. You must have proof that you have met face to face. The more proof the better. This proof can come in the form of dated photos, boarding passes, hotel receipts, email correspondence, telephone records, etc. Good luck 221702 I am sorry I make it confusing they approved me in October after i refiled and have been there 3 times sense august ....... I just want to know if this intial mistake will cause me problems at my interview actually my case was sent from the NVC a day before your's but just now had the packet 3 returned to the guz after only recieving it on may 31
17. hello to all on the site.I have been looking at the forum for a few months but never joined until now. I hope some one can answer a couple of questions for me I first met my fiance on a dating site and decided I wanted to marry her before even meeting her Maybe stupid but I new she was the one for me I intially filed my petion before meeting her i know you are to meet the person first but i told the USCIS of my plans and that i would be meeting her the next month i thought it would speed up the process and they told me just to provide more infor mation when it was asked for photos well this did not happen this way this was last june well i have been there now 3 times sense august and refiled and have gotten this far waiting for a interview date and name check .my question is will this give a red flag to my case...And my second question is any body have a thought on how long to a interview for me my fiance's name is the 33rd most common if that matters and she works for the china post for 12 years if that matters ..... and finally thanks for all the good advice on this site it is a big help i would have never did what i did last summer if i would have read this site first
