There are many ways to investigate, ponder and ask questions about the deeper meaning of life. My mother practiced qi gong for a short while because she thought it would help her improve her health. my fiance does not have the same type of visa but it seem's it is longer than any one want' to wait and it seem's to me a average in between each process is about 3 month's or that is kinda how it went for me and i notice for othere's to some time's a little longer some time's a little shorter If I could give any advice which I can not alot some on here are very active and involved in the visa process just start to prepare every thing as soon as possible and look for any thing that might be a problem and adrress it with information that would be helpful in the situation and try to be up beat during the wait's in between

I am not as knowledageable about all of this as some here but when ni have called the dos i have asked to speak to a supervisor and have gottem better result's this way as least as it relates to the amount of information i have gotten but they will try to not let you talk to a supervisor you have to bea little persistent and some time's they will need to call you back some time's same day some time's a couple of day's later

Leefisher3 they sent a emal back to me on the 28 of august stating to hold the information on her daughter until the v.o was satisfied with the overcome document's as it eing two different thing's now i just do not know who to call as it state's you thyink the number you call to use the pin? I called the doc this morning and they said to just call them they gave me this number 020 8121 8000 I do not belive this si the call center number but i have not checked yet my fiance would like to give the p3 and p4 before she leaves guangzhou to help with the time of getting a interview for her daughter

well my fiance passed her overcome this afternoon,I am very happy about this as she is to.This has been emotionally draining at ti9me's and it really has not sunk in all the way yet now have to figure out what to do to get a apointment for her daughter Two more day's in guangzhou for her to pick up the visa and then back to nanning Still can not make plan's for when she come's here But this big hurdle has been jumped and just 2 more thing's to go the daughter's interview and travel to here I will be so happy when it is all done this last few week's has been tough maybe I can relax a little today and get some sleep for a change ..... thank's all for the advice I have really needed this support system from the CFL people :

I wonder the same thing no one to talk to about the process and when the visa officer decide's it aint right then that's the end of it.when 12 million illegal's live in america and our president is trying to give them amnesty for there illegal action's or some one can go to vegas and get married at the drop of a hat with out a why or let's see some info to prove you love this person and can he support you I do not know if my fiance will pass her overcome on the 5th I guess it is not dependent on the information provided but if the vo feel's like it that day I underestand there is fraud case's out there but if some one has given proof of corespondence and multiplie trip's it seem's this should be adequate to prove a relationship it is if more proof of relqationship is put on a person in this situation than any would be to marry in the u.s no help from elected offical's no help from the d.o.s no way to contact the v.o officer it is rediculous that one person and there opion's can determine your life with out being able to refute there opion or to complain about there lack of or poor performance in conducting a interview who set this up this way and why there are women i chatted with before i and my fiance decide to marry that are in othere country's with there husband's now in half the time or less than i am now with my fiance

Hello to all: well to all those that recently got a visa congradulation's to all of you I know it is a long journey to attain this.And to those who did not get a aproval the first time around Good luck to all of you second time around.Chilton I did not post on your message so many where giving you good advice and I did not see what i could add But I feel for your misfortune I as well feel that the interview's are not all way's done properly and some time's more is asked than what i see or feel is neccesary my fiance return's on the 5th of this month to give them document's on my ex wife I hope this satisfies the visa officer and give's her a visa I hope you get a timely response to your problem at hand .And to all those who have given me advice thank you The next few day's will be stressful i think especially the 2 day wait after the document's are provided my fiance i think will have much press during this time does any one know how the overcome work's I mean do they ask the person question's or do they just take the information is this the actual vo officer that did the interview or is it just some one taking paper's to give to the different officer's

On the one hand, your concern is understood... and successive requests are not uncommon.. but I would not let it bother you too much much because: 1) There's previous examples to look at; some overcome on the first submission. 2) Don't view it too much in a singular way, as if there's only one thing they need to finally be satisfied; there's going to be a few ways to satisfy the VO, but they might not necessarily be completely clear as to it; the best you can do is give them what they as as thoroughly as possible. Far more often, the look at what you gave them and rule favorably two days later. Two days after that, the visa is in hand. Cases where the USC has a low income AND was recently divorced are particularly problematic but are often overcome. Your case sounds like they need to be convinced your relationship is bonafide and that you approve of bringing the adopted child. Also they will be verifying the addition of the child isn't a scam. I have noticed quite a few people have gotten blue slip's on these thing's I have a couple fo question's at the overcome appointment if you provided this info where you successful and if you where not able to provide it where you not I have been fortunate enough that my ex wife was willing to provide me with ample information on residency and her new marriage and I have been told they make the benificiary wait 2 day's for the result's is this true and can any one give a reason it seem's if the case is not predetermined at initial interview and they can make a decision then why would they need 2 day's to review the document's to decide now

Well my fiance will go to provide over come evidence on the 5th I know what they want and my x wife was willing to give me all the info they asked for even a copy of her new marriage license I as well have written a new evolution of relationship letter for them should she bring othere document's to this or just provide this only do they at these meeting ask for more thing's?...... as well she will give the document's on her daughter and they will set a time for a interview for her later my assunption is if she passes my fiance I want her to be prepared for this do they tell the person then if they are approved for a visa or is there a wait time after you give the overcome document's personal experience's in this would be very helpful .... thank you

Well I may not have the right info but I think the number is actually just a call center and you can get as much or more and more up todate info calling the dos 202 663 1225 remeber when you call you need to give them info for them to tell you any thing they will not say any thing about your case not unless you give them some detail's first

well to start thank you so i am not having much success in getting my x wife to comply to me as usual I thought if i provided them with a copy of her new marriage that i can get (public record's ) this would be good enough I do not understand how the goverment could request thing's like this if i had this good of a relationship with her htat she was willing to give me all they would ask for i would probally still be with her to get her to goive me a copy of a mortgage statement or credit card stement it is laughable...... when we where married she would not even make me the benificiary for her insurance ..... she's a tad paranoid you might say

O.k I got the document's faxed to me.The 2 paper's that are supposed to be pink like on the faq's page ask for more information so that mean's she did n ot pass right why would yuou pass and they want more info ... they want x wife's ss # and proof of residebncy and a letter of evolution of relationship the one' s that are supposed to be blue i guess as the photo show's on the faq's page say's they want additional information on her daughter medical exam any body tell me what all this mean's and i mean more about the color's of the paper's it also say's on the blue form ineligible and this box was checked section 221G

Well she went for the interview and failed...... the asked her these question's 1 for my passport she gave them a copy of wanted to know why i was in taiwan last year 2 asked for photo's 3 asked for I-134 asked her in english the color's of the chinese flag 2 question's about her adopted daughter and gave her a blue slip ...... the information they wanted for the little girl would be obivious she would not pass on medical exam and othere document's but they failed her on these thing's a letter of evolution of relationship which i had provided to my fiance as well it was notoarized proof of my x wife's residency again i had information for my fiance that was not asked for i had a copy of the divorcee decree and a letter in regard's to the info they wanted he did not ask of this predetermibned maybe not thinking my fiance would be prepared to show these document's possible but inconsiderate all the way around i guess i should be happy they added the little girl to the visa but what i do not know is this does my fiance go in for a appointment for her over come information and cheng goes in for a interview my fiance say's they need a second interview i do not have the paper's yet she has not nbeen ablt to fax them to me as well i am totally confused she said she got a blue paper and a pink how is this possible if they want more info is the overcome document pink to grasping at straw's here will not see the paper's until tommorrow

well again i would like to say to all CFL member's thank you for all you have done for me and my fiance in the way of support and information my fiance goes for her interview in the morning and i do not feel worried about this i have done all I am supposed to do in the way of providing her with information and helping her ot prepare for her interview with the help of those on this list I know the adoption of her nhow daughter will throw a wrench in the whole thing but i have a sense of calm to my self in this I know if she get's a blue slip it is not the end of the world but a opprotunity to provide the consulate with the information they need and have expressed this to my fiance in hope's it will lessin her stress level as well. some time to night i will know what the outcome is and hope it is a good one for us and her newlly adopted daughter For all who go for interview's this month good luck .......and to all who have passed this month congradulation's and to all on the site your help and knowledge again has been of great help to me and just knowing othere's are or have gone through the same thing has been much needed support that i have used to help me through all of this

Well want to thank all of you on this site for all the help that has been given to me and all the post i have read and the FAQ section has been invaluable My fiance leaves on sunday for her interview on thursday 2 set's of paper work and her adopted daughter with her I hope they do not cause us to many problems over all of this I never expected all of this when i first staed talking to my fiance 19 month's ago it is funny how thing's change And as it relates to her interview i do not worry to much I see I should be able to provide them with more information if it is requested and know it will be for her daughter my only worry is her disapointment if it does not go over well for her the first time if they ask for more information on her.it is a given they will want more for her daughter if they approve to add her to the visa .HaiHuan will be very disapointed if she is not and i belive i will be to I do not know if the next few day's woll go fast or slow I think at time's a little of both ionterview day will be stressful i think I will definetly post what happen's and the question's asked and about her daughter cheng Again thank all of you for your support The one's who have finished this part of the process and for those that are waiting

Exactly. Blue slips are not denials they are requests for more information. Well I have posted here a few time's over the last few month's of my fiance adopting her niece that she has cared for .And it happened as well I have sent a email to guz at first they told me if she got approved they would send out paper work to my fiance now they send back a reply to me after i told them the adoption weas finalized that she could come with my fiance to her interview next week and to bring the adoption paper's and they would or the VO would determine if she could be added to the visa at that time and that later they would have her go for a medical exam ...... well this is good and bad to me one I feel it is good that they will consider it but at the same time I feel it would be easy for the VO to not do it to so I think she shold bring every thing she can with her and suggestion's would be good .this is what she has so far I-134 with the girl's name on it as welll birth certificate in english and chinese notorized adoption paper's in english and chinese notorized a statement letter from me exceptoing the girl to come here to l,ive as well.a letter from my fiance statinbg why the late addition to the visa and why the adoption and she has all ready talked to the man at the hotel that is above the consualte and he will give her the additional form's needed to add the girl to a extra copy of paper's from p3 and p4 with the girl's informatioon on them I felt if this was alll given to the visa officer he might be more willing to add the girl if he does not have to explain much as awell maybe nothing to bring back but the medical any suggestion's would be helpful.... they said to bring hte little girl to the interview but how can she get in???? with out a appointment letter i forwarded the email from them to my fiance and told her to make a copy and show it when she arrives trhere what does evey one think of this it seem's odd to me i do not know though can childern come into a interview if they accompany the interviewer but if they are not on the appointment letter??

I have seen you on here for a while .And I have to say I feel bad for you .And you have probally done every thing possible in your situation from talking to your state rep and senator to making email's to guz and calling the nvc and the dos .I am just trying to get through this as well as you .But what about moving there for a while and liviung in china and being with her this way for a while or do you have more commitment's as I do so this is not possible I live here in texas in Austin actually and there are so many illegal's here it is amazing.And they have the ability to come here and to do all it is unfortunate when some one tries to do thing's the right way with our goverment and they are penilized foor there right effort.It seem's our goverment attack's immigration into many different way's and none of the effort's come together .I understand as you that the goverment want'sd to insure the legitimacy of a relationship and the intention's of new immigrant's but to make some one wait more than 3 to 6 month's for this process from to start to finish is not exceptable ,And in your case it is reprehensable.I hope that it is soon for you to be able to be with the one you love and hte rest of this goes better for you

It might make sense just to delay your fiancee's interview for a few weeks to enable you to catch up with all the required paperwork. This might save her an additional trip to GUZ. This is just something to consider. I'm sure trying to pull this off will get the adrenalin going. I know this is late in the game for me but i posted a few week's ago that my fiance is trying to adopt her niece. I know now she can be added but I do not know what additional form's are required. On the affidavit of support do i just add the girl there or do i have to have a seperate one for her and what othere document's are required I am trying to put the cart before the horse..... My fiance will not know until monday for sure if she can adopt her but since her interview is on the 17 of august in case it does happen i want to be able3 to have all document's ready for her Guz informed me through email that when she get's a approval they would send out a packet for the girl for a interview but i belive this would needed to be done before her interview .... my fiance getting her approval for the adoption and to be able to have every thing in motion on this .....
