  7. The I-751 is all filled out and ready to mail.....conditional green card expires 9/25. The stepson returns from China on August 3. If I mail it today, I'm afraid the biometrics appointment will be scheduled before he gets back. advice anyone? Thanks
  8. TN Vol........we did our biometrics in Nashville, and as you know, we only live a few miles from you. Maybe Nashville doesn't have an ASC center now. I guess I'll find out soon, because we're ready to send in the I-751 for removal of conditions.
  9. I know this has probably been addressed, but i need a quick assurance. James leaves for china Wednesday and will take his iphone. I've heard horror stories about charges on these once they're used there. He says he's unlocked it and will remove it's Sim card once he leaves chicago and will buy a Sim when he gets to China. My Question is: Am I safe from the thousands of dollars of charges some people have incurred while using an iphone in China? I haven't kept up with Cell phone technology and he assures me it's safe. Anyone try this with an iphone in China? thanks, Hank
  10. I thought I'd read either here or over on VJ that the Guv didn't send you a notice to start Removal of Conditions, We got this yesterday: Sorry..Can Someone please tell me how to post larger images
  11. CONGRATULATIONS! I worried when Lily went back to China by herself when her mother died. ...............I shouldn't have.........both ways.......no problems!
  12. I noticed a $2.95 charge from italkbb on my credit card statement. I pay annually so I wondered, what the .... Lily called them and they said they were now passing on government taxes/fees which, until now, they had absorbed. Anyone else?
  13. Italkk BB for us. It is great as far as calling to and receiving calls from china. Sometimes there is a reliability issue, but that's probably Comcast's fault. I also notice on many calls, a slight delay. Sometimes we have to call back and get a new connection to get rid of the delay. Either that or say, "Ni hao.............over"
  14. I wonder if Dan (dnoblett) is seeing more white slips reported over on VJ for other countries.
  15. I remember that very cold day, eseum. In January 1985 it hit 24 below zero Farenheit because of some freakish jet stream/weather pattern. Of course at that temperature, my heat pump was rendered useless. I discovered that day my auxilliary electric heat had blown fuses on 2 of the 3 five KW heat banks. Luckily, we had a wood burning fireplace. I lived in Clinton at the time, very close to Norris, and like you, we lost a lot of shrubbery and a few trees.
  16. Hey Charles..........Yes, Atlanta is about 180 miles farther south and you do realize.....-14c is slightly colder than -13c...right?
  17. It's in the suburbs of Knoxville, close to airport, elevation 1100 ft. Unusually cold, but not a record.
  18. 43/6?...... 52/11? -9F in Shenzhen 6:30 am, June 1943?
