  1. Good luck to the both of you. I will do the double finger double toe cross for you that morning while I wear my red T-shirt.
  2. That's great, you're on the finale leg of the journey now. Congratulations.
  3. Now that's the way to start the weekend! Congratulations on the last step of your GUZ wait. Best of luck to the both of you on the interview day June 27. Make sure you log back into CFL and tell us before you leave so we can all do a double finger, double toe cross for you on that day, and wish you luck.
  4. You have an answer from USCONGUZ. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17981
  5. 2nd paragraph, "this issues". Change to "these issues" if more than 1 issue. Change to "this issue" if only 1 issue. This is only my opinion, the rest looks great. I also agree with Mike, leave the door open.
  6. Wow, Congratulations to you! That was one of the most informative experiences I have yet to read, thank you.
  7. Just from what I have read so far, at the AOS interview would it raise any questions that they did not live together as husband and wife for the first few months. If they look at the work records, W-2, car insurance, drivers license, etc. it would still show 2 different addresses and 2 different states. Im just not sure how fast all the paperwork could be changed if the interview where to happen faster than expected.
  8. According to the FAQ, there is a letter of intent in the P4 (for the K-1 Chinese fiance), but that is signed in front of the Consul at the interview.
  9. The Chinese SO does not need to notarize a letter that she signed any more than she needed to notarize her G-325A that she signed. Did the lawyer require her to notarize her G-325A? Of course not.
  10. There is so many things I miss, but most of all is the real family togetherness.

The Ombudsman believes that process change recommendations from individuals like you represent one of the best sources for identifying systemic problems in the immigration benefits process. Recommendations regarding systemic problems you have identified in the immigration benefits process should wherever possible be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word document format. 16. Nice job Lee. That should work as long as when the G-325A was filled out it shows she left China after the university attendence of 10 months, address out of China for the summer, then back to China again for the last 6 months. 2 seperate enteries of living in China, with the out of China address in between them.
  17. Congratulations to the both of you. It sure is nice to see how it is supposed to work out. Thanks for the great report.
  18. Here is a link to another forum group, and this will take you into the section of Russian K1. If you post your question there too, someone from Russia may have some first hand experience with the same type of problem that could help you. I am sure it has come up before with someone else in the past in trying to get a China police report, and the link to the forum is case specific to the Russian/USA citizen K1 visa. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=98
  19. Assembling the Package: Also see: General Tips on Assembling Applications for Mailing. For most forms, your application package should be assembled in the following order: Fee payment Form G-28 (if applicable) Application or petition with photos in attached envelope (if applicable) G-325A (if applicable) Other evidence Supporting documentation http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/fieldoffices...ional/index.htm In preparing your packet, please take note of the following: Do not use binders or folders that cannot be easily disassembled. Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated. The use of tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. The tabs should be placed on the bottom and not the side for ease in filing. Avoid using heavy-duty staples; instead use ACCO fasteners or heavy clips. Avoid submitting originals unless specifically required (Forms I-94, Labor certifications, etc). Avoid submitting oversized documentation when possible. http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/fieldoffices...nal/index.htm#H
  20. This procedure may be the same for the Russian Embassy in Beijing. POLICE RECORD Generally available, reliable. Persons should apply for a certificate of no criminal record at the local Public Security Bureau (PSB) (or certain types of employers such as state owned enterprises), then make application to the notary office for a certificate based on the PSB document. Persons without a criminal record will be able to obtain a certificate to that effect. Certificates for individuals with one or more criminal convictions will list all convictions for which records still exist. The certificates purport to reflect all criminal convictions during residence in China. Police records are generally not available for the period prior to 1949. Notarial police certificates are based in part upon records from an individual's employer. If an employer refuses to release records, the notarial office is not able to issue a certificate. This is the case for persons sent abroad for education by the Chinese Government who fail to return to China. According to a 1957 state council ruling that is still in force, the imposition of a re-education through labor (Lao Dong Jiao Yu) term does not result from a criminal conviction. Administrative organs, rather than courts, impose re-education through labor. It is important to distinguish re-education through labor from labor reform (Lao Dong Gai Zao), which is a sentence meted out for criminal offenses. COURT RECORD Available in most cases. Normally, when someone is tried by a people's court or by an organ of the executive branch of government, some record remains of the case even for a political crime. In some instances, the entire formal court verdict (Pan Jue Shu) is available upon request by the former defendant. In other cases, the court can provide only a synopsis of the charges and the verdict. In all instances, it is necessary to have the applicant request court records. If an applicant is unable to secure court records, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, or the posts in China with jurisdiction over the area where the record is located can contact the appropriate provincial foreign affairs office and request assistance in securing records. It is not advisable for other U.S. officials to contact courts directly. Most court records will also indicate the original sentence, the actual sentence served and any reduction or commutation of the original sentence. Court records are generally not available for the period prior to 1949.
  21. That's great news and what perfect timing that he just got back home with the paperwork too.
  22. This is just my honest opinion, drawing from most of my adult life being a union steward too. I have seen to often the most direct approach go wrong at times, regardless of the best intentions meant. If the letter were to be addressed to the exact place and official, and for what ever reason there were to be some other holdup, they "could" say it was invalid, if they so choose. Example: natural disaster and the interview in now moved to another place or unit. Example: vo is looking for something and says it should be addressed different. Now it has to be corrected and returned all because it was addressed "to correct and percise". Why would this happen, who knows, but why give the opportunity if it is not needed. To whom it may concern is the general accepted method to address any and all who are concerned with the issue at hand, and I would/will use this. JMHO.
