  1. Happy birthday. I hope you have a great one!
  2. We've gone through the document intake years ago but it was pretty straight forward of handing in the medical documents. We had a IR1 visa interview.
  3. Congrats glad to hear you got it quickly.
  4. I've travelled with baby before. I think your best option would be the direct flight to YYZ and the drive. It's not easy in baby with the ascending and descending portions if flight. Get a forward facing car seat and you can let her sleep in it inflight if you buy her a ticketed seat.
  5. I wouldn't worry. My wife didn't receive her 10 yr. green card until about three weeks. As long as your wife has her I-551 stamp she will not have any issues. Congrats to you both.
  6. I'm not sure where to post this question. Please move it to the right forum. We are planning a trip back to China. I was told by someone that since my wife is a Chinese citizen still. Our son and I are able to get longer duration visas with multiple entries. Does anyone know the specifics of it? I was also told we need invitation letters to, has anyone gotten a visa as a spouse of Chinese national recently? What should the invitation letter from my wife state? Can she write the letter for me and our son standing just 10 feet away? Thanks
  7. I think it's crazy to be put through that. They are waitresses and hostesses, not military recruits.
  8. It is very tragic and senseless act. My thoughts and prayers go out to all affected. As a parent myself I know this is a worst nightmare.
  9. Congratulations. I was wondering where you go maternity shopping. When my wife was pregnant she shopped Destination Maternity I think it was called. The clothes fit and feel great but she spent a great amount there. Where do you guys get good deals from? It will be useful to know for the next time around.
  10. Mike, I don't believe it makes a difference where the USC. I personally didn't know there was even a limit for sibling visas in a household. I only knew that they had limits, and greencard holders have to wait for availability.
  11. Mike if I remember correctly a green card holder has to wait for an immediate relative visa to become available because they have limits on that classification of visa issued. An immediate relative if a US citizen has no limits of visas to be issued. Others will correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I recall.
  12. Every time I've entered China they never ask what's in my suitcases. However I'm not a Chinese citizen. Maybe different rules for visitors but that seems odd to me.
  13. Mike, my wife got her IR-1 in summer of 2008. There was no issues that was hindered the approval. We already had a long history together with me going to visit her twice every year until we filed for her IR-1. We supplied ample evidence with the application. I'll give you more details when I am on my laptop.
