Mine took from NOA 1 to NOA 2 , three months. Also when I received my NOA 1 I received an email from USCIS , you should probably wait a few days and give them a call if can't pull the receipte number on their webiste 05-25-2005....................NOA 1 Receipt Notice 08-25-2005....................USCIS-Neb Approval 1-129 App.

Who can tell me where to mail my letter requesting that my NOA / I 129 or K-1 Visa petition be renewed due to it expiring in mid december after 4 months. It was approved in August. .............and the 4th month term is ending. Or, will Guangzhou embassy automatically request that I send a request for extension when they send me the P3 ? Should I wait ? .. Thanks Red

My I 129F Notice of Approval which was approved for 4 monjths is due to expire on December , 2005 , does any one know where I send a letter to extend it an extra 4 months since time is running out? I hope to be getting from Guangzhou the P3 info soon, but I will need to request an extension of the petition. On the other hand will Guangzhou just request me to renew it once they begin processing the K-1 ...

I very much recommend that you do do a VHS tape, just to be super safe. Make it a tape of the two of you communicating together (in whatever language you both share). The tape probably won't be asked for, but in the off chance that it is asked for (as they sometimes do), then you'll be covered. There's debate about which VHS format is best - NTSC or PAL. If you can swing it, do two VHS tapes, one in NTSC and one os PAL. Again, double extra super safe 149276[/snapback] Great advice think you very much . What do older members think of making a recording Video VHS tape to use in the event Guangzhuo consulate questons ability of myself and Chinese fiancee ability to communicate. Thinking of making one , anyone has any experience in this area of what to include ??? Redsunset52

As a newbie I like to thank you for the "heads up " on what we should make sure we do and not do. Best too you , sounds like your heels are dug in and Guongzhuo is on the spotlight .

I worked for the government many years and dealt with Federal Regulations. In my opinion the need for the consistency of following the Federal regualtions in regards to Visa approvals must be followed and not left to the interpretation and whims of any staff member of a overseas Consulate whose job is to process the Visa in accordance with the Federal regulations. In reading many of the processes here , I come to the conclusion that the Guangzhuo Consulate is not consistant with following the Federal regulations for K-1 Visa or others. For example the regulations say a USA Citizen must meet his/her financee at least once, yet some Staff members want prove beyong this , wanting seveal meetings??? Maybe this is where a lawyer can help.

What happens next ? Fiancee ..lives in Nanning , any one have any contacts she can talk to going through the same process?

Does anyone support the submitting in the K-1 application Westeren Union receipts of funds sent to Fiancee as part of the package / or better to not show support. I have mixed thoughts on this . Any advice of those who already submitted their K-1 ................redsunset52

Does any know if the letter of intent to marry from the Fiancee has to be in the native chinese ? Or can she sign the letter written in English stating her intent to marry within 90 days
